Never read this myself, but my mother did. I can still see the paperback on the table next to the wing chair that comprised the reading nook in her bedroom when I was a kid 💕

A well constructed story with much truth and humanity. A story that has #depth and layered with the complexity of motherhood, class, race, and adoption among others. It tracks the fallout of a well planned, idyllic community and the actions of some individuals who challenge the status quo. I feel the story only picked up after the second half, but there‘s plenty to digest in Ng‘s descriptions. Do read it before the tv series comes out.

Tonight's dinner & blog post-Eric Ripert's Seared Ahi Tuna with Sauce Vierge was SO good! I don't know where sauce vierge has been all my life but with just olive oil, sun-dried tomatoes, basil, green onion & capers, it has a surprising depth of flavor. Just won this e-book from Goodreads-a thriller about twins & I hope that it has some depth to it.😆
Link to the recipe 👇🏻Even if you don't eat fish, try the sauce.😋

I haven't read it yet, but how can a book that explains everything not have #depth ?
This is one of the books that‘s had the most impact on me spiritually—his discussion of Jesus‘ Sermon in the Mount revolutionized the way I think about following Jesus. I once heard Dallas Willard speak, and he joked that as a philosopher, he was prone to “dive deeper, stay down longer, and come up drier” than many other writers. 😏 His writing has so much #depth, but I‘ve also found it to be accessible and relevant. #readingresolutions
