The story is sweet and silly, the art is fun, but what really got me was the use of colour. I maintain that well-illustrated picture books are an exceptional source of creativity and inspiration. Plus: cute! ☺️

Silas and Ellen captivated my interest throughout the story due to their varied characteristics. The various situations that have led them to where they are in life.

Human ties are central to the plot. Relationships are hard and confusing. Forgiveness, grieving, and moving on are difficult. However, it conveys a sense of hope that things will improve.

Now that Cda Post is *somewhat* back in service, I took the opportunity to catch up on some correspondence. Lots of #LitsySnailMail headed out. @TheLudicReader -Im finally sending a letter your way ♡♡

This book would be great for social-emotional learning. Exploring questions like “Have you ever felt left out or misunderstood?“ and “How can we make everyone feel included?“

This picture book was published in 2022. This imaginative book tells the story of a bat named Bat who, despite his appearance, is gentle and kind-hearted. Bat wishes to make friends, but other animals are frightened by him. These emotions are depicted through ominous illustrations in the midst of the animals' fear. The bat's true character is shown in his house, which is full of warm colors and comfort. The artwork is bright and expressive.

#WDNCW @dabbe I do not care that I had to wear my glasses askew for 2 days until I went to get them repaired as I took them off my face to see my phone while outside and they ended up on the ground. The arm was off like by a mile. So crooked on my face, I went to do my market today. I don't care that I might have looked funny today. Sigh! It's all good now. 👍
