This book is great. It‘s just as you expect from a stand alone Guardians of the Galaxy story featuring Rocket Raccoon and Groot. Reads fast and just keeps the action going. Plus written by Dan Abnett who has written some warhammer books as well.

This is not really book related… but it‘s chocolate so it goes with books… this amazing chocolate chef is so incredibly love his work 🥰🤗📖🤨… plus Groot 🥰

I still can‘t decide what kind of prose fiction I feel like, but I finished my nonfiction (ALL OF THE MARVELS by Douglas Wolk) and it left me with a terrible craving for Slott and Allred‘s SILVER SURFER (even though Wolk barely touched on it.) I‘m now two issues deep on this reread and I know I made a good choice.

Not much to say about this except, how can anyone not like Groot? He‘s the coolest. 😎 4⭐️

#friyayintro time!
1. This was hard because everything I love starts with S. (Okay, not everything. Just lots of things.) I went with Silver Surfer because I haven‘t mentioned it on here I‘m a while and IT‘S SO GOOD, Y‘ALL.
2. Magnetic control, because I‘ve read literally 99% of the X-Men comics in existence and they‘ve taught me magnets can do AN.Y.THING.
3. Cancer
4. I dunno. Bike a lot? Wander the streets?
5. On it.

My daughter, the children‘s Librarian, brought these graphic novels home for me because she knew I would love them. And she was right! There are 6 in all in the series. Groot! This is the last thing he says,
“Life is not about the shadow you cast on your enemies... but the shade you provide to your friends.” ❤️❤️❤️

Litsy, I couldn‘t resist! I had to get more comics. I discovered Skottie Young, as I think I‘ve mentioned before, via his illustrations for Neil Gaiman‘s Fortunately, the Milk! After reading The Marvel Art of Skottie Young earlier this week, I found out just how much catching up I have to do. So many things to read! And of course I‘m going to start with Rocket Raccoon because, what else would you start with?!! ❤️🦝❤️

Cool comic! There's one cat, a lot of kittens and ... a rock star! What else does the reader need to have a good time!
