This was a cute rom-com of the enemies-to-lovers type. After a whole wedding party gets food poisoning, the bride and groom urge their sister (of bride) and brother (of groom) to take their free honeymoon, even though the two hate each other. Or do they? 👀

So I‘m trying to get out of the house more because (I mean) look where I‘m living now. So of course I bought these two books to help me out a little 🙌🏽📖😋

JacqMac Yes! And take lots of photos so we can live vicariously. 4d
Suet624 I‘m a little jealous, gotta admit. 💕💕💕 4d
Ddzmini @JacqMac yes I have pictures I‘ll have to put some together and post them 🙂🙌🏽 @Suet624 awe I know I was when my friends just visited Hawaii so I feel you 🙃🙂 4d

My first Christina Lauren, but definitely not my last. The premise is outrageously unbelievable, but the banter was great even if I‘m a little tired of “enemies to lovers” trope. I liked that the MC was of Mexican descent and had a big lovely family. I thought the character growth was good and believable. But mostly this is fluff and just what I needed while not feeling well. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

cleoh This one and Josh and Hazel‘s Guide to Not Dating are two of my favourites by CLo! I keep meaning to pick up another one but I always forget when I‘m in the store 😂 5d

I feel very ehh about this novel. It didn't blow my mind, but it wasn't horrible. I feel like the characters were authentic, but a little unrealistic at times. It just didn't live up to the overall hype that has been surrounding it.

This was the last book I read in 2019, and I really enjoyed it. I loved the banter between Olive and Ethan- I laughed out loud multiple times. I also enjoyed the relationship Olive had with her family and how much they wanted to see her happy. I even had a few tears toward the end. 🥰

This was recommended to my by Kimalicious for the #NewYearWhoDis challenge. It was a pretty quick read. I enjoyed it and was able to use it to fill a prompt in the Monthly Book Club challenge that I am doing. I used it for the RomCom prompt.

kimalicious I've just realised I've never read this book! There must have been a mix up on the lists! Glad you enjoyed it though 🤣 6d
sarauscher Just looked back at the list...this book was not on the list....ooops...I will pick a book off your list next! LOL!!! 6d

I can not wait until others have had the chance to read this book! It is that good.
This new author writes like a poet. Each chapter tells a different story, each story better than the last. This is a story about a family that goes through hell while living in what many as describe as heaven (Hawaii). The story is sad on so many levels, but it keeps you reading to see what will happen next.
Thank you, Goodreads, for the advanced copy.

In the acknowledgements, the authors (Christina Lauren) thank bloggers, reviewers, & readers, writing, “Each time you recommend a book of ours to a friend, an angel gets their wings. Or a puppy gets tummy rubs. Or a hedgehog gets a mealworm. Bottom line: good things happen in this universe.”

I‘m about to make some angels, puppies, & hedgehogs very happy, because I‘m recommending this (steamy) book to you — my friends. 💖
