Picked this book up for my first #LiteraryCrew and it's the first book up in 2026. It is cold, and I feel absolutely no want to be productive today. Perfect day to curl up with a book and do nothing else....until the kids get bored with the Lego! 😆

pickExcellent historical fiction about women who operated radar in Hawaii after the bombing of Pearl Harbor and throughout WWII. Sometimes I need a nudge from buddy reads like #LiteraryCrew to get me to read a book that I‘ve got on my library wish list. Women‘s friendships play a key role in the story (along with a cat and her kittens). Found family has played an important role in my life so it‘s one of my favorite themes in fiction.
Oh my goodness!! This is my lovely #JolabokaflodSwap package. I'm super excited about it - look at that adorable cover!! pick🌺 Last week I finished Hula by Jasmin ‘Iolani Hakes. I started it on the way to Maui but had to take a break to read a book club book. Set mostly in Honolulu, it‘s the generational story of 3 women and their struggle with colonialism as it relates in different ways to identity. The more I read the more I liked it.
