This is such an important book, for abused kids, for trans kids, for kids in general - because let‘s be honest, people are constantly trying to just shut kids up and keep them from speaking truth to power. Of course that power and those who are power hungry are trying to silence this, too.

“The Librarian of Burned Books” by Brianna Labuskes is astonishing, eye-opening, fascinating and a definite page turner. I couldn‘t put it down and I had to keep post-its nearby for quotes because Brianna‘s writing was so spot on. Mark Twain hit the nail on the head when he said, “History never repeats itself, but it does often rhyme.” And sadly, I agree.

Really excited for this one!!! This is my next Pride Month read. The fact that it‘s been challenged and banned makes it even better.
