While searching for a book in my home library to complete the #booked2022 prompt for #setinacanadianprovince, I was giving up hope,until I realized that this book would work! The story of Anne warmed my heart and soothed my soul. I read this as a young girl after my mother gave it to me for Christmas. Reading it again,I realized that she must have chosen it, not only for the wonderful story, but also because of the character, DIana. #kindredspirit

Went to Graceland yesterday and found out that Elvis was a voracious reader and loved to underline and take notes in the margins #kindredspirit

#Characters2017 #kindredspirit How did I get two posts behind forbthis challenge?! 😬 She's a real person and not a character but when I read her writing and I'm struck by the love and passion that she describes the simplest food or even a small blue bowl sitting on a table with, I think that Ruth Reichl is a kindred spirit. We share a love for food, cooking and eating--along with words, reading, writing and history. 🍴📚💜

Then I thought about Bellamy. She's loyal, somewhat introverted, puts her family first, loves working in her bookstore, loves to read & she didn't think twice about being in an interracial relationship (like me-married almost 18 yrs). #kindredspirit

#characters2017 Day 11 I think my #kindredspirit is Kinsey Millhone. Kinsey is independent and smart. She likes to spend her downtime curled up in a quilt with a good book. I also loved her efficiency apartment and later loft.
