Pickpick

I liked this #lmbpc pick, although it took me a while to get into it & took me a lot longer than usual to get through a book. It was an interesting story that was very detailed about an expedition to explore the Alaskan territory. The story slightly touched upon the current struggle that many families must feel about preserving a culture (that many were taught for years was not acceptable) & navigating the modern world. #bookspin book

ncsufoxes @BookBosomed1 I will get this in the mail tomorrow & mail it priority to you. Sorry for the delay in getting this to you to read. 7d

@TheAromaofBooks this will be on your way shortly. It‘s all packaged and ready to go, but it‘s snowing here in VA - which pretty much means the end of the world. @DanaManiac @robinb #LMBPC

This was a #LMBPC read and as I have to pass it on I will just say nothing. I don‘t want to influence the other readers in any way. @BeckyWithTheGoodBooks @carlthecattt @AmandaBorchers

Quarantine is over, negative tests have been acquired, and that means Litsy packages are on the way! I felt like Santa Claus, carrying an enormous bag of packages to put in the mail!

Pickpick

This was my #LMBPC selection for round 13. I loved this book. It was fascinating that Native American women would sew seeds into their skirts when they were forced off their lands. This allowed them to provide food for their families, especially since the government gave them meager rations on the reservations & food they were not accustomed to. This book covers some of the past as well as the current dangers of genetically engineering food & the

ncsufoxes Effects it has on heirloom seeds & our food supplies. #bookspin 2mo

I know that if I make a list of titles right now, I‘ll end up reading a completely different set of books once the school year starts and I‘m back in the library… so other than my #lmbpc title, I‘m keeping my options very open this month. #bookspin #doublespin @TheAromaofBooks

TiredLibrarian I like this idea! 5mo
TheAromaofBooks Looks good!!! I think my list is going to somewhat category-oriented this month as well. We're going on vacation & I can never decide which books to take until right before we leave, so my list is probably going to have a lot of “vacation read“ slots!! 5mo

5⭐️ This book had me hooked from the very beginning. The stories of these people who faced such a terrible day and suffered great losses yet remained resilient and in many cases hopeful filled me with emotions. I will admit I cried multiple times during this book. Great pick for #LMBPC

Lauranahe I‘m so glad you liked it! 5mo

This was a heart breaking story of Nori born out of wedlock to a mom that was a Japanese Royal who was trying to escape her own family demons. It was a good story & even though it was incredibly sad you just wanted to keep reading because you became sucked into Nori‘s world. The ending was a little frustrating & felt like the author was just trying to tie up this story into a neat package. One more #bookspin book & #lmbpc book down
