My #botm came in and the next #lmbpc book for #groupf!

Can‘t wait to read both of these!!

TheSpineView The background looks like the exact same Trex composite decking that is on my house. Love the grey color and so much cooler than darker colors in the summer. 11mo
Laughterhp @TheSpineView How funny! Yes, it‘s so much cooler in the sun. We have a dark grey outline and it gets SO hot and burns your feet trying to walk into the house. 11mo

Spending the 4th in a nature preserve deciding on a Nonfiction book to send out for group J! #LMBPC

#LMBPC Group J: Nonfiction. Here is a few books I chose for this round. Since nonfiction is pretty broad I wasn‘t sure what anyone was particularly interested in/comfortable with. I‘m a nonfiction reader, primarily. I read a lot about social justice, disability, Autism, psychology, anything affecting people/children (housing, inequality, race, health). If any of these interest you please let me know so I can get a copy & start reading.

tokorowilliamwallace I'm a dabbler, and get a lot of miscellaneous subject matter. But I'd say either Dreamland (opioid epidemic) or Nomadland (reckoning with life in 21st century). But are we all reading and annotating the same books or our own recs? 2y
ncsufoxes @tokorowilliamwallace so you pick a book (or a few from your group to help make a selection/make sure no one has read it). You read the selected book & highlight/comment/what not then at the end of the month you pass it onto the next person. After you & the 3 other people have read it, it makes it back to you with everyone else‘s thoughts/notes/highlights. I‘ve done a few of them. This is my first with just nonfiction. It‘s neat to see what other 2y
ncsufoxes people think. Nonfiction is such a wide area I just wanted to see what other people were into. I haven‘t read any of them but have most on my tbr. I‘m partial to Dreamland since my cousin in law recommended it to me a few years ago (it‘s particularly about the opioid crisis in Southern Ohio, which my husband has family in the area). 2y

MilesnMelodies I'd read any of them, but Consumed looks particularly interesting. 2y
ncsufoxes @fredthemoose any input? 2y
fredthemoose These all look great! I‘ve read Dreamland and can confirm that it is excellent. I could re-read, or would be happy with any of the others. Nomadland and Consumed not look good to me. Your call, @ncsufoxes ! 2y
fredthemoose @tokorowilliamwallace @ncsufoxes @MilesnMelodies how do you feel about The Nineties as my pick? Have you read it? Prefer one of the others I sent in my email? 2y
MilesnMelodies Omg, I just opened the App to review The Nineties. I'd certainly have a lot of notes to make. But seriously, I think you should just pick what you like. 2y
ncsufoxes @fredthemoose The Nineties works for me. I bought a copy when it came out but I haven‘t gotten to it. So one I‘m definitely good with reading. 2y
fredthemoose @ncsufoxes @MilesnMelodies @tokorowilliamwallace are you all still down to do LMPBC? I didn‘t see @MilesnMelodies comment about The Nineties, so that‘s what I bought and read. Did you guys pick and read books? Should I plan to send The Nineties out? 2y
MilesnMelodies Go for it. 2y
ncsufoxes I picked, I‘m hoping to get it finished this week. We just moved from corporate housing to the place we are renting…so I‘ve been doing more unpacking & organizing than reading. 2y

I‘m not sure who has my book (The Seed Keeper) but I still haven‘t gotten it back from #lmbpc last round. I‘m moving in a few days, we‘ll be having our mail forwarded to our new address. I‘d love to get it back at some point. Thank you!

kellyann28 I read it in January and sent it LaughterHP, after that I don't know! Sorry you don't have it back :( 2y
Laughterhp Yes, I have it! And I knew you were moving but thought you already moved, so I hadn‘t sent it out yet. I‘m leaving for a 2 week vacation tmrw and won‘t be able to mail it until mid June when I come back. 2y
Laughterhp Sorry for the delay in getting it back to you, but it‘s not lost! 2y
ncsufoxes @Laughterhp we will be in corporate housing a few weeks & then moving into our new place at the end of July. So I guess wait till then 2y

Book 26📚 #LMBPC

Ok I feel so bad, some how I have ALL the books😂😬 2 are coming your way tomorrow @ShelleyBooksie !!💕

This was one intense story!! I cannot believe the stories retold and trying at the same time to piece it all together(don‘t try, it‘s not possible). Simply an amazing read and will hook you from page one!

@StillLookingForCarmenSanDiego I LOVE SWEDISH BERRIES!❤️ You‘re too sweet❤️
 @BookishTrish

BeeMagical Reading this along side The Project was a trip. One fiction, one non-fiction but weirdly follow a similar path! 2y

Finished this #LMBPC book today during lunch. It was such a sweet story with many adventures along the way. I forget how much change was happening in the US during the 1930s. I loved the connection between the giraffes with the people they trusted as they traveled to the San Diego zoo. We love the SD zoo & all their work & conservation of so many animals. It‘s definitely a wonderful place to visit & you forget you are in downtown SD.

ncsufoxes This also gives me bingo for the month, #bookspinbingo 2y

Trying to finish the tagged book so I can get it mailed out next week for #LMBPC. As you can see we love giraffes, this was at the San Diego zoo. On the weekends if you get there at just the right time you can buy biscuits & get to feed the giraffes. My son loved it, one of the best experiences. We have been zoo pass holder on & off over the last 10 years we‘ve lived in San Diego. We‘ve been lucky to live so close to such a great zoo &safari park.

mandarchy Have you read the book Neck and neck by Elise Parsley? Everything she writes is so funny. 2y
kellyann28 Oh that is very cool! I've feed big lettuce leaves to the Giraffes at the Memphis Zoo, it is so special! 2y

I liked this #lmbpc pick, although it took me a while to get into it & took me a lot longer than usual to get through a book. It was an interesting story that was very detailed about an expedition to explore the Alaskan territory. The story slightly touched upon the current struggle that many families must feel about preserving a culture (that many were taught for years was not acceptable) & navigating the modern world. #bookspin book

ncsufoxes @BookBosomed1 I will get this in the mail tomorrow & mail it priority to you. Sorry for the delay in getting this to you to read. 2y

@TheAromaofBooks this will be on your way shortly. It‘s all packaged and ready to go, but it‘s snowing here in VA - which pretty much means the end of the world. @DanaManiac @robinb #LMBPC
