IMHO: in a democratic framework, blind loyalty to a specific leader or person is dangerous. Democracy is based on principles, laws, and institutions—not on reverence for an individual. This contrasts with autocratic or monarchical systems where personal allegiance to a ruler might be expected or demanded. 💙✊🏻💙

This book was crazy. I will say the unnamed Orisha - that story got me in a choke hold. I will be adding the next book in the series, because I need to know what will happen next. I hope they make a paper back of book 2, this hard back was heavy. Lol Now the foundation has been laid in book one, we can get to all the crazy in book 2
