Finished the trilogy. Love it when I first read it. Didn‘t hold up. At all.

Soubhiville That‘s too bad. I‘ve wondered if the Vampire Chronicles would. They were a big favorite of mine in the 90s. 3mo

DGRachel I remember being so mad that she wrote a sequel The Witching Hour (I was over series and just wanted stand alone novels) that I absolutely refused to read any others in the series. 😂 3mo

So many triggers in these books. I‘m constantly cringing while reading. However it is Anne Rice, it‘s expected. I did enjoy listening to it. I remembered loving this series years ago and now I just find them to be ok.

When I first read this book in my early 20‘s I absolutely loved it. I re-read it a few years ago and was decidedly underwhelmed. But then I gave the audible a chance. Which was….fine. But now I feel like I have to listen to the whole series.
