lil1inblue @cuilin @dabbe @anncrystal The link is from the author's blog, where she explains how the poem came about. The last paragraph is interesting: "I consider that empty space at the poem‘s end as merely the beginning. It represents the place where you and I choose either to speak up or be silent on behalf of a free and inclusive society -- ⬇️ 1d
lil1inblue where we choose either to act or do nothing in defense of those who would be punished for merely being and expressing who they are." 1d
AnnCrystal @lil1inblue that's lovely, thank you for sharing this extra bit of info. This gives a whole new dimension to that last line ✊🏼🥲💙. 22h

It took me a while to get through this book because I found the author's tone pompous and unrelatable. Although I had some good takeaway moments from the book overall it was hard to chew.

What a delightful book! I learned so much about the shells and other various mysterious objects that wash up on the beach - mysteries no more! The author uses scientific terms, but explains them in layman‘s language. She also encourages readers to just soak up the relaxing atmosphere of the beach, being aware of all 5 senses, meditating, and pondering age old questions. Perfect reading for anyone who is at the beach, or dreaming of being there.

julieclair This was my #MonthlyNonfiction2025 pick for June. It‘s part of the Pocket Nature series - first one I‘ve read, but I‘ll definitely read more. #Pantone2025 #RumRaisin @Lauredhel 3mo

What a wonderful book!! Highly recommend for kids, but also for adults.
Each page is beautifully illustrated, showcasing to the reader a moment in nature, reminding us to pause to admire the beauty of our surroundings.
Definitely a book crush ;)

4 ⭐ Wow, this is not a boys town press it kind of reads like one. Where you‘re given a problem and ways to deal with it. The refrain in this book is worry worry go away. I don‘t have time for you today. And that actually really works especially with the examples that are given , and that the reaction isn‘t always the same as long as you take time to think about it and know that you can be better. Over all this book works.
