I remain behind with life & haikus as usual. Today‘s is inspired by the 4:00 PM meeting I had with our Finance Team to discuss the budget forecast. Yes, it‘s that fun time of year! I hate late afternoon meetings enough already… 😵‍💫🤑🤕

This was a fascinating book on money from the Christian view, it is a map on how to save up money, pay off debts, and invest wisely. The Bible is quoted throughout the book, I learned there‘s 2,350 verses on how to handle money and possessions. Jesus Christ talked about money than almost any other subject. He knew money would be a challenge for all of us, and He cared enough to show us how to handle it wisely.

1.I took my baby to the ocean for the first time & we had just the best little day
2.I‘ve been obsessed with the “buy nothing” group in my town, I‘ve unloaded unneeded stuff & scored a bouncer and a booster seat this week. Glad to save money & save stuff from landfills
3.Prowrestling.
4.I went back to work this week & while that‘s not joyful in itself, my coworkers have been so welcoming &
5.Fridays have meaning again. Happy Friyay! #5joysfriday

A thought provoking book on how the writer got himself wealthy, he started learning financial intelligence at age 9 by his bff‘s rich dad while being raised by his own career-driven dad who‘s a doctor and still doesn‘t have enough money to get out of the rat race.

Bowie‘s Books by John O‘Connell ⚡️10 of 100

3 Stars • Money: A Suicide Note by Martin Amis (1984) is a satirical novel about John Self, a hedonistic British ad director chasing a film deal between London and New York. His life of excess—booze, drugs, sex, and consumerism—unravels amid betrayals and a mysterious stalker, Frank. ⬇️

suvata Narrated in Self‘s brash voice, the book skewers 1980s materialism with dark humor and metafictional twists, including a character named Martin Amis, exposing Self‘s self-destructive pursuit of wealth.
