9-23-25: My 63rd finished book of 2025! Book 4 in the series, this one goes back in time to the late 1950s. HM Elizabeth II is in the midst of a lot of traveling to other countries when in her own backyard, there is a double murder and the police can‘t seem to figure it out. After enlisting Joan, a typist, she finally has someone to bounce her ideas off to. Joan is sent around to find clues that the cops keep overlooking. ⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣6️⃣3️⃣

Most of my recent manual labour involves cleaning up my parents‘ horrifically messy basement. (It‘s already so much neater, yet a casual observer might think I‘d done nothing.) Today I dug out Jacob, their turtle. He used to have his own bedroom (ie, he lived on the bed in their spare room), which led many, many people to think I had a brother named Jacob.

I also listened to all of another enjoyable Japanese mystery from the 1980s. #audiocleaning

Just finished this. Loved it. I'll read her other Sherlock Holmes novels, of which there are at least two more.

Not my favourite Marie Benedict. There were some liberties that were a little too far for my taste. I also had a hard time following the story sometimes, I don‘t know if I was distracted or what but I won‘t remember this for long.
