so-so3 ⭐This book is typical of stashing books. I disagree with the author on certain things, but overall the book as an educational sources is fine. A personal bug of mine is every time publishers show a sewing machine, they have a Bernina (one of the most expensive machines on the market).
pickJane Bull is an experienced writer of crafting and activity books for children. This introductory book to embroidery, needlepoint, patchwork, appliqué, knitting and crochet is aimed at readers aged 7+ and is easy to follow with clear photographs and patterns to use. I came away feeling more confident with basic stitches and adult care-givers who are also looking to pick up these skills can do them alongside younger readers.

On May 31st 1811, Jane wrote to Cassandra, “Have you remembered to collect peices (sic) for the patchwork - we are at a standstill”.

A very special book arrived in the post today 💕 Jen Kingwell is an amazing quilt designer from Melbourne. I find myself attracted to her traditional designs with a contemporary feel. She puts colours together that sing, perfect for me to use up my scraps😊❤️
This book also has beautiful old fashioned family recipes like my grandmother made.
