Bookwormjillk Hello! I just got back from dropping off my son on this snowy Saturday morning. Roads were actually in good shape which was unexpected for this city. My week was fine- work and weather added stress but nothing like others are dealing with. I‘m reading and loving 2w
AllDebooks It's so cold here in the UK. I'm staying indoors to avoid an asthma flareup. The upside is how pretty the hoar frost looked this morning. I've just started #NaturaLitsy buddyread ❄️💙❄️ 2w
AllDebooks @Bookwormjillk It's so strange getting back into normal routines. Glad you had a safe journey. I hate driving in snow and ice. I have MM on Kindle. I'll have to bump it up the tbr pile. 2w

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Work has been hectic this week, but it's a good hectic. I'm a Sales Director for 13 hotels, so it is great that they have new accounts for me to prospect & set up on the dead of winter. I did have to wear two pairs of pants most of the week due to the below freezing temps. Not much physical reading was done, but I'm nearly finished with the tagged on audio. I haven't read it since I was a kid, so it's been good to revisit. I forgot most of it. 2w
TheBookHippie Snow dumped over night lake effect snow and dropping temps for the 10 day forecast… so winter is here. Exams are next week and every year we get snow days in this week messes with teachers and students, we‘ve asked to do it before holidays to no avail… Mr BookHippie came home from work yesterday sick so avoid him! My son got into Honors College at the university he was early admission to, so exciting. I read the new Danielle Steel last night⬇️ 2w
TheBookHippie No way my grandma would have ever dreamed she‘d still be writing or putting out so many books. This one was like a piece of candy. 😂 I miss gossiping about the characters with her! Book 216 read ✔️ reading this today & Happy Saturday! 2w
TheBookHippie Daughter is doing well and even driving! ♥️ 2w
Bookwormjillk @TheBookHippie great news about son & daughter. My son‘s school moved finals before break for that reason! Overall it‘s a good idea but due to scheduling and a storm right after break he ended up not having classes for almost a month and that will be a rude awakening this week 😂 2w
Bookwormjillk @AllDebooks I ended up finishing. I loved it. Stay warm! 2w
TheBookHippie @Bookwormjillk 😂 yah the reentry is rough!!! 2w
AllDebooks @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Wow, 12 hotels is a handful. They should keep you busy and out of trouble! I haven't read Anne Frank since my teens. Way, way back in the last century. 2w
DebinHawaii Spending my Saturday morning at the coffee shop before running errands—so nothing unusual. It was a long work week. 😬 Trying to turn it off for the weekend & do some self-care. 2w
AllDebooks @TheBookHippie Congratulations to your son, well done. 👏 I'm so glad your daughter is on the mend and getting about now. I haven't read any Danielle Steel since my teens. I used to gossip with my gran too. They were her books! I miss that so much. 🥹 I had no idea she was still publishing. 2w
AllDebooks @Bookwormjillk Yikes, he's gonna be in for a shock after a whole month free of classes. 2w
TheBookHippie @AllDebooks FOUR BOOKS A YEAR. 🤯🫠🤣 2w
AllDebooks @DebinHawaii I love that you are concentraring on yourself after a busy week. A bit of pampering never goes amiss. X 2w
AllDebooks @TheBookHippie wait, what!!! I didn't even know she was still with us. She's taking over from Barbara Cartland. 👵✒️📚📚📚 2w
AllDebooks @TheBookHippie Idk why, but I thought she was a lot older. 🤔 2w
TheBookHippie @AllDebooks she‘s 77. 2w
TheBookHippie @AllDebooks I‘ve read every single one 😅😆 with my grandma until 2009 she died at 98. I‘ve been reading them in her honor since. 2w
AllDebooks @TheBookHippie ❤️🥹❤️ 2w
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick @AllDebooks 12 hotels does keep me busy, but out of trouble? 🙄 Let's say sometimes! 🤣 My guy is going out with his buddies for some late evening pickleball, so I'm excited to have some reading time later. 🕯☕️🐶🛋📚 @TheBookHippie That's great news about both of your children! Perhaps I should pick up a Danielle Steel book for both #192025 and the #52Books challenge. One prompt is for an author who publishes more than 1 book a year. 2w
TheBookHippie @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick PURE SACCHARINE! You can read it in about an hour or two 😂💕 2w
kspenmoll Answering late here- my anthem for the week! I rested & read-too cold for a walk. My first 5 day work week in a month haha none of us are used to it! So spoiled! 2w

Andrew65 @AllDebooks I know that feeling! Best of luck. 😍 1mo
kwmg40 Count me in! I did make good progress on a couple of my focus series in 2024 and hope to again in 2025. 1mo
majkia I'll join! Trying to get a bunch of series read. 1mo
Laughterhp I‘m hoping to join in 2025! I‘m not sure what series I‘m going to read yet though! 1mo
Bookwormjillk I‘ll join but I haven‘t decided on a series yet. I‘ll figure it out this week. Thanks for hosting! 1mo
CocoReads I‘m so very close to catching up on Lucas Davenport. Otherwise, not sure. But I‘ll try to remember to tag in when I‘ve finished something. 1mo
PaperbackPirate I would love to join you both again! This challenge was good inspiration to get some of series finished or progressed this year. I‘m most looking forward to finishing The Lunar Chronicles in 2025. 📚 1mo
julesG I'm a fan of series!! So glad we're about to start the third year together. 1mo
TheBookHippie I‘ve got some Chloe Gong to do this year and then I‘ve got some Lucy Maud Montgomery books I‘ve always wanted to complete! 1mo
Eggs 🙌🏻📚📚👍🏼 1mo
Mollyanna I am in again next year. Love this challenge. Thanks to you and @TheSpineView for hosting. 1mo
Andrew65 @kwmg40 That‘s great, good to have you with us again. 😍 1mo
Librarybelle Nice! I‘ve been reading series this year but not using the tag, so hopefully this will be my reminder to do that for next year! Thanks for hosting to both you and @TheSpineView ! 1mo
Andrew65 @majkia Great to have you with us. 😍 1mo
Andrew65 @Laughterhp That‘s great, I am yet to make my choices- want to be more focused next year. 😍 1mo
Andrew65 @Bookwormjillk Brilliant! That‘s why I posted today thought it gave time people to think about the choices in the run up to the new year. 😍 1mo
Andrew65 @CocoReads You‘ve reminded I need to get back to the Lucas Davenport series, and think that will be one of the series I target. Great to have you with us. 😍 1mo
Andrew65 @PaperbackPirate That‘s brilliant! I‘m wanting to explore the Lunar Chronicles. 😍 1mo
Andrew65 @julesG Where does the time go!!! Great to have you with us. 😍 1mo
Andrew65 @TheBookHippie Great to have you with us, and good choices. 😍 1mo
Andrew65 @Eggs 😍😊😍 1mo
Andrew65 @Mollyanna Great to have you with us again, and we both love hosting this. 😍 1mo
Kenyazero I‘ll join! I‘m sure I‘ll come up with some other series I haven‘t finished later on, but I‘m going to say Ranma 1/2 because my husband picked it up when I recently reorganized my manga collection and he‘s in love with it, so I‘m going to read past the first four volumes finally. This is a continuation from when I was a teen! 1mo
Andrew65 @Librarybelle Great to have you with us, and we do love hosting this. 😍 (edited) 1mo
Andrew65 @Kenyazero Great to have you with us, always good to have some series with us through the years. 😍 1mo
PaperbackPirate I think you will like The Lunar Chronicles- very fast paced with socially conscious messaging. 1mo
Andrew65 @PaperbackPirate Thanks, definitely a series I would like to get to next year. 1mo
PaperbackPirate Good luck! 1mo
Andrew65 @PaperbackPirate Thanks 😊 1mo
Roary47 Going to work on continuing to shrink my huge list. 😅 1mo
Andrew65 @Roary47 Me too! Great to have you with us. 😍 1mo
julieclair I‘m in! I‘m changing my approach. For 2024, my plan was “wide and shallow”, dipping in and out of a number of series. I discovered I lost the feeling of continuity that makes series reading unique and special. So for 2025, I‘m going “narrow and deep” and plan to read one book each month from the Kate Shackleton mysteries, starting with a reread of the first book, 1mo
JacqMac I have been seriously considering diving into Brandon Sanderson. There is just so much, I keep putting it off. Maybe this is the time. lol 1mo
Ruthiella @julieclair I love that approach! 1mo
Ruthiella I am definitely back in for another round in 2025! 👍 1mo
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick I'm nearly finished with the final book of A Series of Unfortunate Events. Next year, I'm focusing on #192025 and the #52books challenges, so I think I will be able to get a few more books read within series. 1mo
DieAReader 🤓📚You know I‘m game!! So many series to choose from but here are a few: Chris Carter, Michael Connelly, Kathy Reichs, Kat Martin. 1mo
AnnCrystal First time that I'm joining on for this readathon 🥳📚📚📚...I've been planning. I will be continuing with the Riley Thorn Mysteries, hopefully finish the Chronicles of the Necromancer series by continuing with The Fallen Kings Cycle books by Gail Z. Martin, and...my growing list is becoming a bit too unrealistic 🤔😂📚💫. 1mo
OutsmartYourShelf I'll be concentrating on finishing the Miss Marple & Poirot books by Agatha Christie as part of completing #192025

For the first few months I'll also be re-reading the Maeve Kerrigan series by Jane Casey ready for the latest one to be released in April/May. Still lots to read for JD Robb's 'In Death' series as well (I think I'm about halfway at the moment). There'll be more series that I can't think of atm.
(edited) 1mo
Texreader Im in again!! Yay!! 1mo
mrp27 I plan on joining for the 3rd year in a row! Great way to keep myself current on all my series, to catch up on a series and to discover new series! 1mo
Fortifiedbybooks I'll join in the series fun! I have several cozy mystery and SciFi series I need to get caught up on. 1mo
julieclair @Ruthiella Thanks! We‘ll see if I can stick to it, and not get distracted by all the other “shiny objects” series out there. 🤪 1mo
MonicaLoves2Read I'm in bc there's a ton I need to catch up on. Thanks for hosting 😀 1mo
Meshell1313 I‘m so in again! Love sharing and seeing what series everyone is reading. In 2025 I‘m going to read all of The Lord of the Rings books- I never read them and love all things fantasy so it seems like a wrong I must right! I also might dive into the Brandon Sanderson world- it seems very daunting. 1mo
Meshell1313 @JacqMac just saw this after I commented! I also want to dive into Sanderson! Was thinking of starting with the Stormlight triology- what are you thinking? 1mo
JacqMac @Meshell1313 It‘s all kind of overwhelming. Everything I have seen says to start with Mistborn, so I think that‘s my plan. 1mo
Andrew65 @JacqMac I‘m also wanting to start the Sanderson books. Planned for it this year but never got to it. Perhaps we can all support and encourage each other. @Meshell1313 1mo
JacqMac @Andrew65 That would be really great! 1mo
Andrew65 @JacqMac Sure we could pull something together and would be easier as a small group of people. 1mo
TheSpineView @Mollyanna YW! So glad to have you. 1mo
TheSpineView @janeycanuck Yw! Glad to have you! 1mo
CarolynM I‘ve got a few series on the go that I hope to be going on with in 2025. The one I‘m most looking forward to continuing is Viveca Sten‘s Sandhamn Murders series which I discovered in Sweden (in Sandhamn, in fact) 1mo
Jess861 Would love to join in as I am hoping to read more of the Mistborn series next year. 1mo
ferskner I'm in! I'm not 100% how it works (I'm out of Litsy practice) but I'm eager to finish some series. 1mo
JacqMac @Andrew65 A Cosmere buddy read perhaps? There are 20 Cosmere books in total. I found a suggested reading order that looks pretty good. I looked at Mistborn. The first three books, Era 1, are around 600 pages each. The first book is divided into five parts. Maybe one part a week is a good place to start? 1mo
Meshell1313 @Andrew65 @JacqMac sounds like a perfect buddy read to me! ❤️ 1mo
Andrew65 @JacqMac That sounds a good way to go. Which book are they suggesting to start with? May even be others who want to join. @Meshell1313 (edited) 1mo
Andrew65 @julieclair Yes, last year I had a very wide, very shallow approach and need to be more focussed too in 2025. Sounds like you‘ve got a good strategy. Good to have you with us. 😍 1mo
Andrew65 @Ruthiella Great to have you with us again 😍 1mo
Andrew65 @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick A great way to multitask. Great to have you with us. 😍 1mo
Andrew65 @DieAReader I will definitely be continuing with Kathy Reichs, Chris Cater and Michael Connelly. Currently have the next two Reichs books out from the library. Great to have you with us again. 😍 1mo
Andrew65 @AnnCrystal Great to have you with us! Sounds like you have some great plans, I over reached on series this year so trying to narrow it down. 😍 1mo
Andrew65 @OutsmartYourShelf I love the Maeve Kerrigan series. Some good choices you have there. Great to have you with us. 😍 1mo
Andrew65 @Texreader Great to have you with us again 😍 1mo
Andrew65 @mrp27 Great to have you with us again, this challenge certainly helps us target the books. 😍 1mo
Andrew65 @Fortifiedbybooks Be great to have you with us! Best of luck 😍 1mo
Andrew65 @MonicaLoves2Read Love hosting this. Great to have you with us. 😍 1mo
Andrew65 @Meshell1313 Some great reading ahead of you, great to have you with us 😍 1mo
Andrew65 @CarolynM Great to have you with us. Love where you found the Sandhamn Murders Seriws. 😍 1mo
JacqMac @Andrew65 @Meshell1313 Excellent!! I will break it all down and make a post with the details in a little bit. I‘ll tag you both and open it up for others to join us. 1mo
Andrew65 @Jess861 We‘d love to have you join us. Looks like a few of us are targeting that series and would make for a great buddy read. 1mo
Andrew65 @ferskner It‘s very easy going. You can choose any series you want to target in 2025, as many or as few as works for you and you can add any to it as you go through the year. When you‘ve read any books in the series just post it with the hashtag #SeriesLove2025 and tag me and @TheSpineView.

Great to have you with us 😍
1mo
Andrew65 @JacqMac Great, as well as @Meshell1313 it looks like @Jess861 is wanting to read the Mistborn books so she might want to join us for any she hasn‘t read yet. Love it when a plan comes together. (edited) 1mo
peanutnine Yes I love this challenge! Sometimes I feel like all I read are series since I'm always starting new ones! 😂 1mo
Jess861 @Andrew65 @JacqMac @Meshell1313 - I'd absolutely love to join 😊! I've only read the first book in the trilogy (Mistborn: The Final Empire) and I really enjoyed it....it's been a while since I read it so I wouldn't mind re-reading it. (edited) 1mo
Crazeedi I will definitely be in this year! 1mo
Andrew65 @peanutnine Great to have you with us 😍 1mo
Andrew65 @Crazeedi Hope you are well, and it‘s great to have you with us. 😍 1mo
Andrew65 @Jess861 That‘s brilliant, I look forward to reading the series with you all. @Jacqmac @Meshell1313 I have the first one on reserve with the library and should be able to pick it up when it reopens after Christmas and the New Year closure. 1mo
Velvetfur Thanks for the tag Andrew! Hmm I can't think of any series of the top of my head but I'll do some research 😁 1mo
TrishB I‘ll try to remember to join in again 👍🏻 I‘m always scared to actually count how many series I‘m reading. 4w
Andrew65 @TrishB I can relate to that! 😳 I possibly need to read more standalone books. 4w
Lizpixie Hey everyone👋I‘m back from my SM break and will definitely be in on this next year. I‘m hoping to post my #JumpStart2025 reminder tonight for everyone to start the year off right.♥️💚 4w
Andrew65 @Lizpixie Great to see you back with us Liz, hope you are as well as can be expected. Not long back from my SM break. Look forward to #JumpStart2025 4w
TheEllieMo I‘ve been debating with myself whether to join in this; I‘m definitely a mood reader and so not always in the mood for this or that series. But Marlow Murder Club 4 and Comoran Strike 8 are out next year, I‘ve just discovered the Olga Pushkin series, and Borrow-A-Bookshop, and I still haven‘t read Before the Coffee Gets Cold #4 or #5… So I think I‘m in! (edited) 4w
Andrew65 @TheEllieMo That‘s great. It‘s a very informal challenge and over a year so feel free to go with your mood and just join in when you feel it‘s right for you, and also to tag us with any series books you read which weren‘t part of your original plan. 4w
LibrarianRyan This is a usual for me (even though I suck at it) but I am in. 3w
willaful My plan is to read at least one sequel/next in series per month and I have a list that makes no sense to anyone but me. 😂
next Palladin
Emily Wilde‘s Map of the Otherworlds
Table for Two
Ladies of Grace Adieu
Chaos Terminal
Rulebook for Restless Rogues
next Marie Lu
Imposition
Conspiracy in Belgravia
Shadowhunters
Louise Penny
Space Oddity
Rattling Bone
Kristin Cashore?
Rivers of London?
Innkeeper
3w
Andrew65 @willaful Some good series here. 3w
Andrew65 @LibrarianRyan Great to have you with us, so informal impossible to suck at this. 3w
TheDaysGoBy I started the Percy Jackson series for the first time a couple months ago and still working through it so count me in! I‘ve also been considering rereading Hunger Games trilogy 3w
Andrew65 @TheDaysGoBy Welcome. 2 excellent series. 3w
Airykah13 I‘m in! I dropped the ball with posting last year but hope to do better this year 2w
Andrew65 @Airykah13 That‘s great, pleased to have you with us. 2w

The #20in4 Readathon his at a challenging time. I have a bit of a Friendsgiving later tonight and a birthday get together tomorrow with my brother & his family. I'm keeping my goals simple. Finish Red Rabbit (about 30 pages left) and see how far I can get with this one. This one covers Canada for #foodandlit and the #52books Palindrome on cover prompt.

I still have a few of the previous months' selections unfinished, but here I am, being hopeful that I'm getting through more in November. As I get closer to finishing the #52Books prompts for 2024, I'm looking to make more progress on the #192025 challenge. I still have 14 months, but it's looking like it might become the 192026 challenge. 🤣

Pickpick

Emily was ready to spend the summer with her best friend Sloane, but when summer came, Sloane and her family disappeared without a trace. Just when Emily thinks all hope is lost, she receives a list in the mail from Sloane - thirteen things Emily likely wouldn't do without Sloane's prompting. If she completes the list, will she find Sloane?
Overall, this was a cute and tame book about older teenagers. Emily's parents are preoccupied ⬇️

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick with writing a play, so Emily has the freedom to complete the list with little interference. Early on, Emily makes a few new friends who help her cross items of the list, and thank goodness she does. Emily doesn't have much of a life outside of Sloane. We see Emily become comfortable with being herself, not who Sloane wanted her to be.
The current storyline was stronger than the flashbacks to include Sloane in the story. ⬇️
5mo
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Unless Emily is just that shy, which it doesn't seem that way, I just didn't see much about their friendship that would cause Emily to be so enamored of Sloane that they had no other friends. It's a light pick for me.

Cinfhen I really think you‘d like it @TrishB 😄 1y
Cinfhen I wasn‘t going to do the mini challenges but then I saw I kind of did without really trying @BarbaraBB I think I‘m only doing #52books and hopefully #Booked2024 next year plus the other challenges on Litsy like #AAM and #BookSpin and of course #TitlesAndTunes 😁 (edited) 1y
jenniferw88 😍 book is set in my home county, and the author lives in Dorset too! 😍 1y
Caroline2 This is 99p on kindle at the mo in the uk. 👍 😁 1y
LeeRHarry Mini challenges? Guess I‘m not doing them. 😏 1y
BarbaraBB @Cinfhen Hopefully #Booked2024! I‘ll do them all again I‘m afraid (52books, ATY, Pop) and of course #TitlesAndTunes and #Roll100 but not #Bookspin. Might try #AAM. And of course the #TOB! 1y
Cinfhen Have you read it @jenniferw88 ??? It‘s really good!!! Definitely worth #99p @Caroline2 1y
Cinfhen There‘s only been a few @LeeRHarry they are usually set around an event/holiday( like Easter in March or back to school in September ) 1y
jenniferw88 @Cinfhen not yet! 1y
Cinfhen @BarbaraBB hard to believe we are almost at January !! A whole new year of challenges 😀 1y
Librarybelle I‘m not doing the mini challenges this year. Maybe next year??? Who knows! I didn‘t realize this book was that long - 19 hours is a nice size book! 1y
TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!!! 1y

#Booked2023 #AfroFuturism #52Books #OctaviaButler I was worried about these prompts as I don‘t really enjoy Sci-Fi or fantasy but this Graphic Novel adaptation was really wonderful. I thought the artwork and story boards were beautifully done. It was so eerie to see how intuitive Octavia But.er was regarding the “future” (2024) of the world, specifically the United States. So glad I was able to borrow via #Hoopla.

Big Summer: A Novel | Jennifer Weiner
post image
Pickpick

I was so close to bailing when a very unexpected twist occurred that made me want to see this book through to the end. It does read a bit YA which I hadn‘t found in previous books from Jennifer Weiner but she managed to pull off a fun and interesting 🐥 lit mystery🩷Good choice if you‘re looking for a beach read🏖️ A plus size influencer gets drawn back into a toxic friendship with her HS nemesis when she asks her to be in her wedding party.

squirrelbrain Sounds like a good (beach) read. I just found a 50p used copy on Amazon, as it fits with one of my last challenge prompts. 2y
Cinfhen I almost forgot….Im using it for #BodyPositivity #52Books @squirrelbrain and bathing suit on cover for #ISpyBingo stick with it….because you‘ll probably be frustrated the first 1/3 of the book! 2y
squirrelbrain Hmmm…I‘m not sure now if it fits cos I just checked the prompt and it‘s #romancewithafatlead. What do you think? 2y
See All 7 Comments
Cinfhen She‘s a plus size influencer and there is a “romance” so it does fit @squirrelbrain - she also isn‘t one to cower to those that seek to shame fat people. She “owns” her weight in a positive manner. (edited) 2y
DivineDiana Years ago,I won a contest to be a guest of Jennifer Weiner at a concert for a band consisting of authors. She was singing with the band that night. Love her! Stacked! ❤️ 2y
Cinfhen I read her memoir a few years ago and she mentioned being in a band of authors @DivineDiana I think Ann Patchett might have been part of it at one time also! And she‘s a #PhillyGirl ♥️ 2y
DivineDiana My understanding is that the band members rotated. I don‘t think Ann Patchett was there, but I do remember Amy Tan and Mitch Album. Stephen King had toured with them. I was hoping to see him, but he was not there for that performance. So fun! (edited) 2y
