I enjoyed Victor Hugo's writing so much that I decided to read The Hunchback of Notre Dame next. #ReadingClassicsIn2020

Lcsmcat It‘s a much quicker read than Les Misérables, but just as entertaining. 5y

Les Misrables | Victor Hugo
post image
Pickpick

I really enjoyed this book, and I loved Victor Hugo's writing. Although he tends to include a lot of extra information at times, I think all of that extra information adds to the understanding of the story, by better understanding the time period in which, and about which, the story is written.

ulyssesartmiller Aaaagh, this is one of my favorites. Javier is still my favorite literary “villain” of all time. 5y
CoffeeNBooks @ulyssesartmiller Yes, he's definitely a memorable villain! 5y

Oliver Twist | Charles Dickens
post image
Pickpick

I like Charles Dickens' writing style and storytelling, but I think I prefer to listen to his books rather than read them. This is the second Dickens book I've listened to this month.

Great Expectations | Charles Dickens

Pickpick

I enjoyed listening to this! #ReadingClassicsIn2020

Riveted_Reader_Melissa I read this in high school, and don‘t remember it fondly...it‘s probably one I should revisit as an adult. I half read/listened to Bleak House last year and found that one interesting. 5y

BookishMe That Shakespeare tragedy is tempting. I last read it in college and would be interesting to find out how I respond to it now 😁😁 5y
Cinfhen Pretty graphics🌹🌺🌷🌻🌸 5y
