I tried hard to narrow it down to Top Ten of 2016. I guess top 15 will have to do (not counting the ones listed here that are actually apart of the series, which I love the whole thing.) #SeasonReadings2016 #TopReadsOf2016

Happy New Year, Littens! 💕

Baileeandme Happy New Year!🎉🎉 8y
Reviewsbylola Great list! 8y

This 6 fiction and 1 nonfiction books are selection for my #topreadsof2016 and Do Not Say We Have Nothing is absolute winner, but I love them all for different reasons. And only now, looking at them, I've realized that there are three from the list for #ManBookerPrize

#seasonreadings2016

DeborahSmall I plan on reading every one of these in 2017 💖 8y
Oblomov26 Was given Homo Deus for Xmas and looking forward to getting to it this year 8y
erzascarletbookgasm I want to read Homegoing and Do Not Say We Have Nothing in 2017 💜 8y

Simona @Oblomov26 If you like Sapiens you will certainly find this book interesting, because it is written in a witty tone like Sapiens and Harrari have perfect line (for me) between expertly and commonly. 8y
Simona @erzascarletbookgasm Both are great and with common points. 8y
Simona @DeborahSmall my prediction for the next year - before you It's a great reading year! 😘 (edited) 8y
DeborahSmall I've been waiting on Homegoing for a while, finally released in hardback on the 5th! ❤️ 8y
Reviewsbylola I hope to read The Crow Girl in 2017! That is a great cover of Homegoing. 8y
sprainedbrain Lovely picture! 8y
Simona @Reviewsbylola It's a dark and interesting story and what is particularly interesting for me - the book has two authors. 8y
Simona @sprainedbrain Thanks! I just received your card which made me very happy, thank you 😘 8y
sprainedbrain @Simona I was afraid it wouldn't make it before Christmas... dang it. 😃 8y
Simona @sprainedbrain It is, however, came on the last day of the year and it was nice surprise❣ 8y

Another #characterfromthenaughtylist for today's #seasonreadings2016. Sethos is definitely on the naughty list, and oh my goodness do I want to be on his! This book cemented my love for him in my favorite series of all time. 💕💕💕

Kat_Reads I'm on the third book in this series! 8y
B.Reader @Kat_Reads ohhh, please keep me up to date on your progress! I have read and listened to the entire series no less than 14 times and love hearing from others who have read it!! 8y
Kat_Reads I love it so far! Amelia is so sassy 8y
B.Reader @Kat_Reads She is the best! I love how her character develops and in glad you are enjoying it. The audiobooks narrated by Barbara Rosenblatt are also excellent! 8y

Soubhiville (Is it inappropriate to say she could come be naughty right over here. Probably. Sorry.) (edited) 8y
thec0zy @Soubhiville lol idk, but I totally agree with you 😉 8y
JPeterson Sorry, but not really sorry 😉 😳 @Soubhiville @thec0zy 8y

#seasonreadings2016 day 18: #bookswithpictures
A late entry today! It's been a busy day with lots of cookie making. With two boys jostling each other and trying to grab the cookie cutters and pull the wrong parts of the dough it takes even longer! But we did it! And now we've got cookies for all the teachers and some family friends! 🍪🍪🍪 Anyway here is my book with pictures because it's so cute.

Sarahr875 I saw the daughter one at a book fair a month or two ago and just fell in love. I'm not a huge Star Wars fan but these books are the very best 8y
merelybookish It's not easy being a dad. Even when you're Darth Vader. 8y
britt_brooke Santa is bringing this one and Goodnight Darth Vader to my boys. 💙 8y
readinginthedark I love this series! 8y
awishman We love Jeffrey Brown! 8y

Day 17 of #seasonreadings2016 is #poetry

I admit that poetry has never really been my thing. With a few exceptions, I don't go looking for poems to read. This is my entire collection of poetry. Please don't judge me too harshly. 😜

Lindy Claudia Rankine ❤️ 8y
Texreader More than mine! 8y
StellaDz That is more than mine! I have 1 book of Robbie Burns poems! 👍 8y

shanebeth Billy Corgan has a book of poetry? waaaat 8y
CocoReads I'm not a poetry person either. 8y
saresmoore What @shanebeth said! I want that! 8y
QuintusMarcus Maybe try something new, like Robin Coste Lewis' Voyage of the Sable Venus--masterpiece! 8y
sprainedbrain @shanebeth @saresmoore Yes! I am such a fangirl... 20 years later. Lol 8y
sprainedbrain @QuintusMarcus I will look for it. Thanks! 8y
thegirlwiththelibrarybag I think I only own one volume of poetry and it's unread... 8y
MicheleinPhilly Your poetry collection is 4 times the size of my poetry collection. 😬 8y
sprainedbrain @Texreader @StellaDz @CocoReads @thegirlwiththelibrarybag @MicheleinPhilly I appreciate your support, and gosh darn it, I like us just the way we are! 😂 8y
sprainedbrain @Lindy The only poetry I have purchased in years and years, and I love it so much! 8y
jmtrivera You have surpassed my collection by far. 8y
Laura317 I have one poetry book - Milk and Honey. I'm trying to branch out more. I loved that one. 8y
sprainedbrain @Laura317 I have Milk and Honey on my tbr! 8y
Laura317 @sprainedbrain It is beautiful. I didn't like every poem in there, but some just took my breath away with their raw beauty. 8y
sprainedbrain @Laura317 ok, I'm moving it up now. ❤️ (edited) 8y
Lola That is more poetry than many people (me) own! Citizen should be required reading for everyone. There is a new hard cover edition of Milk and Honey just out with a forward by the author about where she is in life post the original publication of this collection. 8y
sprainedbrain @Lola good to know... I think I need that new edition! 8y
Lola And WHOA...... Billy Corgan has a poetry collection?! I must get that into my life! 8y
sprainedbrain @Lola Yeah... I think it's at least 10 years old now. So many of his lyrics are poetry to me, so I had to have the book. 👍 8y
Lola @sprainedbrain I saw the pub date is 2004! Somehow I did not know about this so thanks ever so much for stacking it in your pic! 🌟 8y
sprainedbrain @Lola I do what I can. 😂 8y
Suet624 I love Marie Howe's poetry. 8y
sprainedbrain @Suet624 which collection would you recommend I start with? 8y
Suet624 @sprainedbrain well I love this one. But What the Living Do is great too. She has a great interview on On Being that you can listen to or watch. 8y
sprainedbrain @Suet624 thank you! 8y
Gina Have you read Charles Bukowski he was quite a character and it shows in his poetry. 8y
sprainedbrain @Gina I will check him out. Do you have a recommendation for a starting point? 8y
Gina "Poetry is what happens when nothing else can." CB The Last Night of the Earth Poems... Burning in Water, Drowning in Flames... Dangling in Tournefortia... Love is a Dog From Hell... Septuagenarian Stew. ENJOY!! He's quote a hoot. 8y
Gina I hate auto correct *quite 8y
sprainedbrain @Gina thank you! 8y
Gina Ooooo I almost forgot you might want to check out Crank by Ellen Hopkins it is ya poems about a girls drug use and strung together they make a pretty complete story 8y
Bibliogirl It's bigger than my collection! I own a very old edition of the Complete Works of Edgar Allen Poe, and a little collection of Shakespeare's Sonnets - that's all. 8y
sprainedbrain @Gina that sounds interesting too. 👍 8y
sprainedbrain @Bibliogirl Those are good ones, though! I love Poe. 8y
