This was great for Star wars loving parents who want to train their young in the power of the force. Okay, let's be real. It‘s a collection of star wars comics that acts as if Vader was around to raise Luke. Many of the scenes are cute or funny, but as a book, it has no real flow. Fun, but not for all.

A lot of fun. So many great references, and the idea is just humorous. Seeing Darth Vader put a band-aid on 4-year old Luke tickles me.

So. My father (pictured), who last time he was here proceeded to write in my books, told me this morning that he hasn't written in other people's books in *years*. He also told me he thought I had not read *any* of my books, since I had not written anything in them. My father, ladies and gentlemen.

Tomorrow‘s a big day (5/4!!!) and one must dress appropriately, right? From the moment I saw Episode 4 in the theatre, and all I‘ll say is that I had not yet hit double digits, I loved everything about Star Wars. Still do. Episode 4 is my favorite movie of all time precisely because it is the movie that made me fall in love with movies and epic stories...and HAN SOLO!!! So now all I have to do is figure out which T-shirt I want to wear tomorrow...

😆 The 4 year old‘s #bedtimebook tonight. He doesn‘t get all the jokes yet, but I do, of course. Love the artwork.

I was at a conference for youth librarians today, and Jeffrey Brown was the closing keynote speaker. His speech was hilarious and touching. He closed by asking not how do we help kids to reach *for* the stars, but how do we help kids *reach* the stars. His answer was that we do it together. It was very inspiring. I can‘t wait to check out his upcoming books!

I bought the first two books in this series (Darth Vader and Son and Vader's Little Princess) for my brother in law's birthday last year. A late entry today! It's been a busy day with lots of cookie making. With two boys jostling each other and trying to grab the cookie cutters and pull the wrong parts of the dough it takes even longer! But we did it! And now we've got cookies for all the teachers and some family friends! 🍪🍪🍪 Anyway here is my book with pictures because it's so cute.

I might have acquired the ebook on sale. Don't judge me! I can't help that between Black Friday and Cyber Monday I acquire A LOT of new ebooks. How could I resist Darth Vader telling four-year old Luke that he finds his lack of patience disturbing? This is perfect for Star Wars fans, of course. I do think it can be appreciated by anyone with children in their life, though. I really want to buy this for someone with small children.

Love this, because I grew up watching Star Wars, and so I figured Little should see them. He calls this one "the ice cream one." And he loves it.

This is a cute, very short book showcasing the struggles of parenthood. The struggle is real on the dark side too. 😁👍
