Name a better Disney movie than The Lion King? It's Shakespeare with music and fur!

"Scarred" is a slow burn dark romance, which is a twist of "The Lion King" or "Hamlet". The main character & morally grey man is (you guessed it).... SCAR.
Now, Scar is my all time favourite villain. He is witty, sassy & pure evil. Tristan was ? but the book just missed something. I loved the Lion King references, but I found Sara bland. Her POV was tedious.

This is a slow burn romance. I loved the characters and this author knows how to develop a character and story so that it all gets under your skin in the best way. This is not a series, but there are several minor characters that I would love to read further about. I know a book is great when you are not ready to leave them. 5 ⭐️

This book is the definition of slow burn. The first part is a series of letters, emails and IMs between Ruby and Aaron who is away on deployment with the Army. I enjoyed this slow ramp up and it was obvious to me when their relationship became more than just penpals. I was so excited for them to finally meet up. Great characters and the plot was so realistic. 4.5⭐️.

I found this book so much fun to read. The characters were so different from each other but went so well together. I have had this on my radar for so long and I am glad I finally got to it. I‘m giving this book a 4.5 because I did find it a little wordy. It kind of felt like the author wanted to hit a certain number of words to publish this book. Overall a fun read.

CoffeeK8 I have a soft spot for this book, and love it, but agree it can be a little wordy 1mo
BookNightOwl @CoffeeK8 it was my first time reading from this author. I‘m excited to pick up another one of her books. 1mo

Yasmin and Josiah, divorced co-parents and business partners, have the most well-adjusted relationship. It's not hard to believe this is fiction. The best part of this book is how it helps remove the stigma from seeking professional health help and normalizes going to therapy.

Reggie I was going through some grief last year after the death of some close family members. This book came along and I felt like I was going to therapy with these characters. It definitely helped. 1mo
