I was nervous/excited to read the origin story of my beloved Snowbaz. I shouldn‘t have worried. Rainbow Rowell is a gentle writer, too gentle at times. She excels here as she does elsewhere with quirky characters and their FEELINGS. The plot is always her weak spot. I can see the criticisms of Cath being an emotional child, but I was that awkward my freshman year of college. Some of us have EMOTIONS to work through and that‘s okay! 🌈

Centique I enjoyed this too and gave it to my teen daughter who loved it. There‘s plenty of us naive and emotional in our first year that can see themselves in Cat I reckon. Also #snowbaz 💕 4y

TheAromaofBooks It's a toss-up between this one & Attachments for my favorite Rowell book, but I do think she hits her sweet spot here as she captures that incredibly awkward transition between high school, college, and adulthood so well. I would really love to see a book written set at the exact same time except about Wren instead of Cath. I love this one!! 4y

I admit I was a bit skeptical about #CarryOn because I mostly skimmed the Simon Snow parts in Fangirl but this book surprised me in the best way possible. I fell for Simon & Baz so hard, and I just couldn't stop reading. ?????

One read was enough for me to declare this my favourite book. Characters are always the most important part of the story for me, and never have characters felt so real. They‘re flawed and wonderful all in their own ways. And on top of that, the plot and relationships in the book are top notch. #snowbaz forever babes.
