More of a memoir than a how to guide. But it was quite encouraging to hear her story and her triggers and reactions to them.
I am trying to become a more mindful consumer in general as I find that I am a bit of a compulsive shopper. 😂😂 hopefully this book is the jumping off point for me. Noting this as #somethingyoupick
#nonfiction2019

Book is the mixture of literary criticism, biography, memoir, travelogue, and this dynamic structure is quite impressive pulled together in coherent story about inner demons and struggles of six, more or less connected and successful writers. Heavy and complex topic treated with respect, well researched, written in readable, almost chatty, prose and with very personal touch. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cinfhen This sounds really good‼️‼️would also work for #genrebusting 5y

If you were a Scholastic book fair lover in the 80s and 90s like me, this is the book for you! Extremely well researched and very hilarious, Moss takes a look at the gamut of YA/MG novels available to tweens and teens in that era. Love the color covers in the ebook.

I had Baby-Sitters Club 1-88ish plus the Super Specials, and my mom gave them away about 15 years ago. But these Gymnasts books remained!

Megabooks @Riveted_Reader_Melissa oh those are definitely in there!! It covers a lot of early to mid-80s. I‘d say about ⅔ 80s and ⅓ 90s. 6y
Megabooks @bunny 😁😁😁 6y
Bookwormjillk Have you listened to the Baby Sitters Club Club podcast? It‘s my favorite. 6y
Megabooks @Bookwormjillk No, but I will check it out! I don‘t listen to podcasts much. Any BSC is 👍🏻😁😁😁👍🏻 (edited) 6y
Purrfectpages I can‘t wait to read Paperback Crush and I remember this series! 6y

Reviewsbylola I‘m not familiar with the Gymnast series but it looks like one I would have liked! 6y
Megabooks @Reviewsbylola It didn‘t run very long, but I loved it. Not as much as BSC, though 😉😁 6y

My first book of the year was “Becoming”, so it‘s #SomethingYouPick
Then I decided I‘d read some of my #MountTBR of Obama/Trump books before they got too outdated, so I followed up with:
“Fear” many #UnlikelyCharacters
“Shade” #SomethingWithPicture
“Thanks, Obama” #SomethingWithPolitics

And then:
“Sapiens” #SomethingWithHistory
“ColorOfLaw” #SomethingWithLaw
“We‘re Going to Need More Wine” which is VERY #SomethingPersonal

#Nonfiction2019

Lindy Zooming along. Good work! 6y

An excellent introduction and reference resource to the co-active coaching model. This book was assigned reading for a course I am taking, but I already had it sitting on my shelf before the class started! I will be going back to this book frequently to review different concepts and approaches!

Accompanied by Breathe Ease EO to try to ease the sinus pressure in my head. 😫
