Our library now also has Hungarian books! 🇭🇺 So now I can try to read some of those and this one was my first.
A really cute picture book about a penguin fleeing the zoo. With some interesting facts at the end.
Absolutely adorable 🐧🐧

A whole bookshop dedicated to polar books in Oslo. Think you would like this @Caroline2

My sweet, sweet 5th grader grabbing a few chapters before school. He‘s such a little grownup sometimes; I love reminders that he‘s 10. 🤍

Summer TBR ☀️ I'm trying to incorporate some non fiction.... would love some good recs 👍💛

I cannot say I understand the drive to do things like this, but I read the book about Shackleton‘s most famous expedition last year (Endurance), and this was an interesting follow-up of sorts.

I know that this book is a easy read for me and I could spend my time on a more challenging book. This is a amazing read it has a true story and to be honest I‘m not a nonfiction type of person I like fiction books but this book has my full attention

I didn't understand a lick of the science in this book, but I fully understood all these weird little misfits and their home at Pole. #historicalfiction #isithistoricalifitssetin2004? #realisticfiction

An excellent historical fiction book about Scott's Antarctic expedition. Each chapter is the voice of one of the five men who made it to the Pole and how they viewed the voyage. You really get to know each of these men. Even though you most likely know how it ends it is still a great read. It is a perfect length for the story being told and makes you appreciate how much harder this expedition would have been at the time.

Reading a book about an Antarctic expedition while the temperature soars into the 40s here. Little guys swim lessons give me a perfect opportunity to sneak some reading in.

I have several books in my #read & #TBR piles set in a #polarregion but I read this one a few years ago & it has stuck with me ever since. British Explorer & Army Officer, Henry Worsley, attempted to make the first solo, unaided crossing of the Antarctic in 2016. Sadly, it did not end well.💙🤍💙
