“...a man's brain originally is like a little empty attic, and you have to stock it with such furniture as you choose. A #fool takes in all the lumber...that he comes across, so that the knowledge which might be useful to him gets crowded out, or at best is jumbled up with a lot of other things so that he has a difficulty in laying his hands upon it...It is a mistake to #think that the little room has elastic walls and can distend to any extent."
“In the moment when I truly understand my enemy, understand him well enough to defeat him, then in that very moment I also love him. I #think it‘s impossible to really understand somebody, what they want, what they believe, and not love them the way they love themselves.”

“...the amount of the universe a human can experience is statistically, like, zero percent.... All we can see is like a blurry little pinhole in a blindfold, and the rest is filled in by our imagination. So whatever we #think of the world, whether you #think the world is cruel or good or cold or hot or wet or dry or big or small, that comes entirely from inside your head and nowhere else.”

“‘What are we going to do?‘ asked the Professor.
‘At this moment,‘ said Syme, with a scientific detachment, ‘I #think we are going to smash into a lamppost.‘”
