“Sam asked Sadie to go out onto the balcony, so they could
collogue.” Page 131

I didn‘t have to look this up to know what it meant, but I‘m glad I did. I certainly didn‘t pronounce it right in my head. I‘ve never heard this word used, but, … HUH. #ilovewords #wordnerd

Also, I voice transcribed this and my phone didn‘t recognize the word either! 🤣 It gave me “Kaloga”

BkClubCare Pg 141 “A glimmer of a notion of a nothing of a whisper of a figment of an idea.” 💡 1y
BkClubCare Page 396 “… it was a kind of immaturity to call yourself old before you were.” 1y

• Today's smarty-pants word: "encomium," meaning "glowing and warmly enthusiastic praise." Not to be confused with the medical term "meconium" Lol •

BookishMe I find translated novels and those set in/ before Victorian era interesting source of big words ;p 4y

LEAST FAVORITE WORD •

A lot of people say the word "moist" grosses them out and while I agree, I'd have to say there aren't too many words I really can't stand. Off the top of my head, I'll go with "perfunctory" because just the sound of the word somehow reminds me of a discussion of a bowel movement. Don't ask why Lmbo

Some of the words and phrases first used in print during my birth year are pretty interesting: Urban legend. Telemedicine. Peace sign. Morning breath. Love beads. Light pollution. Denver boot. Clunky. Cash bar. Butt naked. Bank machine. #wordnerd
