I got a new phone and went to download the Litsy App from Google Play and it wasn't there! Has this been an issue for anyone else with an Android phone?

Leniverse There's a website you can download it from. Just be careful you don't accidentally click an ad and download something random instead. I don't remember the name of the website, but I'm pretty sure Casey is right and JulesG has it written down, yes. 1w

thebacklistbook The app is not approved by the play store. So unless they decide to pursue the necessary changes to get it approved, you won't see it there. 1w

julesG You need to download the APK file and open it. Here's a link: https://litsy.en.uptodown.com/android Open the APK file. Your phone might say it's from an unreliable source, but you can tell your phone it isn't. This should install the Litsy App on Android.

Android Roy the Paranoid Android | Dennis Hackin

So, my Litsy app broke a few days ago and being an Android user, I knew reinstalling it would be problematic. I tried using the workaround link https://baixarapk.gratis/en/app/1037017919/litsy but I can't find any way to tell my phone to install the download. In my phone's security settings it has “Install unknown apps“ but allowing this option for Chrome or the file manager, still doesn't help. Anyone else have this problem or know a solution?

Billypar @tpixie I was actually trying to follow the directions from @goassamerchild 's post with @julesG 's solution from about a month ago, but the part I keep getting stuck at is how to tell my phone to proceed with the download in spite of the certificate error. 9mo

Billypar @gossamerchild @tpixie @Ruthiella Okay - finally got it! Google Play Protect kept blocking me and asking for a PIN to proceed. Then I realized it was the same as the code for my lock screen that I need to have for work. Thanks so much for your help!! 9mo

A while back, someone posted instructions on how to side load the Litsy app. I got a new phone, and the app is STILL not available in the Play Store. Does anyone remember how to side load it?

When is the @Litsy app returning to the Google Play store for Android users? I had to factory reset my phone and the #Litsy app is no longer available for download. Tried directly with Play Store and through the various links here and at LibraryThing, no go.

The web app is okay for liking and commenting but it's terrible on mobile for editing pictures.

CampbellTaraL Also leaving that funny text prompt on the image because that's how clunky it is to try to use web version on mobile! 1y

Librarybelle I‘m an Apple user, but I know other Android users on Litsy found a way to get the app on through means other than the Google Play store…hopefully they‘ll be able to help! 1y

RamsFan1963 You can find the Litsy app on Amazon's app store also. I had to use that when my phone crash and I lost the app for Litsy. 1y

Billypar @tpixie Both the uptodown link and the Amazon app store got me closer. The trouble is that now Google Play Protect is blocking me, and keeps asking for a PIN that I didn't set up to allow the download or change the setting. I just tried setting up a PIN but it still didn't work. I'm going to keep trying though! 9mo

Let me preface by saying this post has absolutely NOTHING to do with the tagged book. It's just that my post is Android and ap related so the title fit. 🙄

And to the point of my post... I so so so so so so so so so so so so soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo miss the Litsy ap! (⬇️)

monkeygirlsmama (⤴️) I had it on my iPad years back and on my Android phone. However, when I upgraded phones I lost my ap and now you can no longer download it. Compared to the ap having to use the website from my phone is uber clunky and not user friendly when it comes to uploading. I have tried the workaround link that someone shared on GoodReads, but it didn't work for me. Any idea if @Litsy is ever gonna get this fixed and back in the AP store?! 🤞 2y

julesG If you can download the app and install it on your phone, but can't log in....🤔 I suppose you've tried all the other possible sources of problems - restarting your phone, restarting your router. Well, I hope it works this time around. 🤞🏻🤞🏻 2y

I know I saw this going around a few months ago, but does anyone know why the #Litsy app is no longer available in the #android #play store? I'm also not on Facebook, so I can't see if anything has been said on there, and I can't find anything on the LibraryThing website, either.

julesG I've heard different stories. Not sure which is true. I know what works though. Follow this link https://baixarapk.gratis/en/app/1037017919/litsy Download the APK file. Go to your Downloads folder, click on it. Your phone will tell you it's not a reliable source - it is. If you click "trust this source" (or something similar) your phone will install the app. It's worked for me and a couple of friends. 2y

I'm having losts of crashes with the Litsy app on Android today. Anyone else?

Traci1 I just uninstalled and reinstalled and it finally didn't crash immediately when I tried to get in. I'm hoping that fixed it, but who knows. 6y
