“dreams to share with everyone”
I‘m not really the type to rhapsodize my job, but this is nice!
The book is cute, though it loses me a bit when it gets into writing, but then I‘m not a writer.

Bath & Body Works has a bookish candle called Book Loft! I didnt light it yet, but it smells amazing in the jar! Their description of the scent says:
What it smells like: cozying up with a book you can't put down.
Fragrances notes: crisp bergamot, neroli and cozy woods.

Sara_Planz And I ordered some!! 3mo
bookish_wookish Yes! Such great bookish gifts too! @Sara_Planz 3mo

Here‘s my #bookspin list. I‘m finding setting it up like this vs actual titles works better for me since I‘m such a mood reader! Looking forward to a new year of reading!!📚📖 @TheAromaofBooks

8-31-23: My new local library. Well, not new, I‘m returning to it after 11 years of being away. Unlike Orange County Library System in Florida, they don‘t deliver to your door in the pretty blue bags I‘ve become accustomed to. I‘ll miss that but now I get to walk to my library whenever I want so it‘s still a win. 📚📖💖

Bookwormjillk Your library made deliveries?? 8mo
GidgetsTreasures75 @Bookwormjillk Yes! In Florida you could put a hold on 18 books at a time and they delivered them to your front door. It was amazing! 💖 8mo

I‘m in love with these gorgeous bookmarks and my newest book sleeve from an Etsy shop called FabricBound. This is my second book sleeve from this particular shop and they are well made. Love the designs on these fabrics too!

TheBookHippie Oooo lovely! 8mo

6-25-23: Today was my last time visiting the Orlando main library. I had to drop off but I also stopped at the library bookstore to buy a few for the road. My husband couldn‘t understand why I needed to buy books for the road. He said I could have kept a few out of the boxes I packed earlier this month. I tried to explain it but he‘s not a reader so…🤷🏻‍♀️📖📚💖

Leftcoastzen I get it! Safe travels! 10mo

there‘s librarians on here.Hi 🤗! I‘m looking for a library job.I‘m working on my degree currently.I‘m in the running for an aide job at a few local libraries. That would be fantastic, however I do feel like I might have too much experience to get that job.🤷‍♀️I have loads of bookstore experience.I use to have a bunch of relevant library job website resources saved up.don‘t anymore.post them here or if you‘d like I‘ll give my email. Thanks 😊!

BookishTrish Customer service experience is very transferable. ALA (American Library Association) is an excellent resource. 11mo
Librarybelle Customer service is definitely useful. I would second ALA. 11mo
gossamerchild https://inalj.com/ is also a great resource. If your university has a listserv with jobs, that is a great resource, too. For instance, I went to UW-Madison's iSchool and they have a blog for library jobs, https://uwslisjobs.wordpress.com/. 11mo

Why ban books when you can defund the libraries of the entire state.

BarbaraBB I really can‘t understand what‘s happening in the US. 12mo
mrp27 So unreal….. 12mo
Hooked_on_books I did read that the senate there intends to continue funding the libraries, so hopefully cooler heads will prevail. It‘s lunacy that we‘re wasting so much time and taxpayer dollars on this idiocy. And people keep voting for the people who are doing these things. Why?!? 12mo
sarahbarnes Terrifying. And @BarbaraBB you‘re not alone in that, even as someone living here. 😔 12mo
marleed I laugh at myself because I‘m often more stressed at getting to my virtual Libby TBR than attacking my physical TBR. But my go to/ favorite library is on the Missouri side of Kansas City - and dammit, my fears just became justified. 12mo
AmyG @Hooked_on_books Good to know. But that they were even thinking of this is insane. I just read a library in Texas won‘t be funded. Insanity…added to all the other insane crap going on here. (edited) 12mo
forestandcrow They are trying to do this in idaho also 😔 12mo
