I'm not sure how I missed this book when it was first released, but I'm glad that I found it now. An engaging mystery, an appealing heroine, detailed world-building, and yummy food. Definitely recommended. #paranormalmystery #bravegirls #vampire #warlock #yummyfood

Two more books from the local used bookstore: a gorgeous edition of Northern European fairy tales, with illustrations by Kay Nielsen; and an action-adventure romance from the long-discontinued Bombshell line from Silhouette. #fairytale #romance #actionadventure #bravegirls

One of several books that I am currently reading: think of Into the Dark as Horatio Hornblower in space, with a female lead and an interesting mixture of primitive and advanced tech. I'm about a third of the way through, and it is actually holding my attention -- despite the fact that I tend to dislike naval jargon. #bravegirls #sciencefiction #militarysf

I loved the Choose Your Own Adventure books as a kid, especially the "girly" ones. A first edition of The Magic of the Unicorn appeared at the used bookstore, so I grabbed it. My inner ten year-old is squealing. #bravegirls #chooseyourownadventure #childrensbooks #fantasy #usedbookstoresareawesome

Just added to my TBR pile: a steampunk set in Civil War - era New Orleans, complete with airships and African orisha. Anyone read it or familiar with the author? #steampunk #urbanfantasy #neworleans #orisha #bravegirls #pocprotagonist

I downloaded an advance copy from netgalley, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great setting, engaging characters, and fun mystery with just enough twists to keep me guessing. Definitely recommend it to anyone with an interest in Cleopatra or historical mysteries. #mystery #ancienthistory #cleopatra #bravegirls

Part of today's used bookstore haul. 😊 The English translation of an early 1800s German play about a Queen of the Amazons. Apparently it was quite scandalous in its day. #bravegirls #mythology #drama
