Oh @LeahBergen what a wonderful parcel! Well worth the wait! 😉 Thank you so much! Thrilled with the books! (So pleased to have a Handheld Books edition as I eyed them for years but never purchased one!) Love the card, the post card, the bookmark, the whole kit'n'caboodle. ☺️ And curious if you would recommend visiting Mankato?

Crinoline_Laphroaig I loved visiting Mankato a few years ago! 3mo
rubyslippersreads I‘ve visited Mankato a couple of times. You can tour Betsy‘s and Tacy‘s houses, and sit on the Friendship Bench. It‘s a pilgrimage for #BetsyTacy fans. 3mo
LeahBergen Yay, it arrived!! I really enjoyed my visit to Mankato and seeing all the little spots from the books. And just what @rubyslippersreads said … the house tours were so fun! 3mo
Cathythoughts Lovely 🥰 3mo
MaureenMc There‘s a Betsy-Tacy Convention in Mankato this year, in October. My daughter & I are hoping to attend! 3mo

This isn't about the selected book.

I got a good amount of the #pantone2024 colors that only 3 were missing this year!
Woohoo 🎉🙌🏻 so I'm very pumped for this year's go around 😀

At least one of my 2024 goals has been achieved. ✅️
I set out to read all 13 books of A Series of Unfortunate Events. I moved to audio on book 5 and was rewarded with Tim Curry narration beginning with book 6, The Ersatz Elevator. It proved to be my favorite, with Curry's performance of Esme Squalor and her obsession with trends that are in and things that are out. Overall, the series was a pick, but I didn't love it.⬇️

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Maybe my age is showing, but there can't be that many incompetent adults out there, right?! I also found the ending odd.

@AmandaBlaze The year didn't allow me to be a proper host and follow up regularly. Thank you for joining me early on!

Librarybelle I adored Tim Curry‘s narration of the series! 3mo
TieDyeDude I read these 8-or-so years ago, mixing audio and physical. I agree the narration was excellent. I was conflicted on the ending, and the long lists and tangents got a little tiresome towards the end, but I thought it was well done and a refreshingly unique and darker kids series. 3mo
PaperbackPirate @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick @TieDyeDude I wasn‘t a fan of how the series ended, but it was a mostly fun ride. 😜 3mo

#PhotoChallenge #2

I stopped buying gifts for my niblings years ago. They have all the stuff they could ever want. I buy savings bonds to put a few dollars away for their futures for birthdays and Christmas. So here I am bundled up and ready to sleep instead of being out shopping with the crowds.

LiseWorks So smart! 4mo
