pickThis was a #slowread. Having finished it certain parts stand out - how oppression impacted both religious and secular, the choices faced. The hardest section for me was on James as I've never successfully finished one of his books. I've read Lolita, gatsby, bellow and Austen so those allusions were easier to grasp.
