Pickpick

This was a #slowread. Having finished it certain parts stand out - how oppression impacted both religious and secular, the choices faced. The hardest section for me was on James as I've never successfully finished one of his books. I've read Lolita, gatsby, bellow and Austen so those allusions were easier to grasp. Worthwhile but certainly slow. Read along with multiple other books. #cityinthetitle #uncannyoctober

_London_ by Rutherford is pretty high on my #tbr list...really, anything having to do with London or its history is. I‘m obsessed. Normally, crowds of people stress me out, but this place...

I‘m too lazy to go get a picture of the book, so you get an upside-down picture of my blanket instead.

Libby1 Have you been there often? I love it, too. ❤️ 7y
mydearwatson I‘ve only been a few times (once on a short layover, once on an overnight layover, once for my honeymoon), but I‘m not sure I can ever get enough 😊. 7y

📚 Just borrowed this today! I have a feeling I'm going to love this so I'm jumping in asap!😍

📚 It is convenient for today's #uncannyoctober prompt: #cityinthetitle although not technically a city...

Sace It's so good! 7y

#cityinthetitle that is very close to where I live and to where I grew up. Lots of nostalgia. My parents used to take us to Palace Amusements when we were kids. I know the Asbury Bruce sings about. It came back but it's different now. #uncannyOctober @RealLifeReading

Today‘s #uncannyoctober theme: #cityinthetitle. This one is close to my heart, having lived in #Bangkok for many years. Lots of great #memories in this book. #litsyreads @RealLifeReading
