A few days late, but, oh man, was this good. Definitely adding this Ghanaian Chicken Chichinga to the rotation. I‘m still struggling to get into this book. Not because it isn‘t good, but because it‘s just so heavy.

I loved it! And I want to make friends with an octopus! 🐙
Treated myself to the fish and chips that Ethan and Cameron never got to. #CookingtheBooks #TakeoutEdition #BookAndDinner
There was surprisingly little baseball in this considering there‘s a baseball on the cover. But even though it didn‘t scratch my off-season itch with balls & strikes & hits & diamond shaped fields, this book was just the cutest. I loved both of the MCs, flaws and all.
Enchiladas would have probably been a better choice for #CookingTheBooks (super cute cooking scene), but thinking this was a baseball book made me want a hot dog real bad 😀
I was hoping, with so much discussion of the meals in this book, there would be some good Italian food descriptions. But, since there weren‘t, I made a Shrimp Portofino based on the location. This was actually my dinner last Sunday (when I planned to finish this book), but didn‘t finish until yesterday. #CookingTheBooks #BookAndDinner

Halloween Party with Halloween Party-Food. Full disclosure: I only made this one Spoooooky Spider Mini-Pizza. It was way too much work so the rest are just Mini-Pizzas Scattered with Irregularly Cut Olives.
Once again imperfect writing is made up for with a really good twist. The main character was kind of a idiot, but the story was still engaging. And the ending was…wow. #CookingtheBooks
#Pemberlittens Jane aprroves of my 2 new #allaboutaustsen cookbooks.
While both modernize recipes inspired by novels Dinner w/Mr. D is a bit more traditional Britsh. Jane Austen's Table seems to have easier Americanized more doable recipes. Both have nice food history sections. Happy to have both in my collection. 👩🏻🍳#cookingthebooks
I was perusing the guardian as per usual and found a column of food from books. Then I realised I owned said book from a previous kindle deal and I now want to recommend this to all book lovers who are cooks!
I don't know how good the recipes are (yet) but they do look great so alongside the bookclub cookbook I think I may try to read and cook my way through this beauty. #cookingthebooks
I've already voiced my issues with this book, but I did love Camille Kingsolver's meal plans and recipes. I've been waiting ages to make this dinner, because I read it when rhubarb (for the rhubarb apple crisp on the left) was not in season. And I subbed a steak for the lamb chops because I can't with the smell of raw lamb. #CookingTheBooks
#CookingTheBooks, even though this meal has nothing to do with this book.
Except the chicken's name was Georgie Denbrough. (Sorry)
