Bookwomble @Deblovestoread My indie bookseller told me that Amazon uses its stranglehold to insist as much as it can (which is a lot) that publishers prioritise the initial print run to them, so they tend to have the book available first. Personally, I'm happy waiting a few days to support my local store rather than further bloating the Bezos bank balance. 7d

Sace @Bookwomble @Deblovestoread I‘m also trying to use Amazon less (and just buying fewer books in general). I‘ve had luck with ThriftBooks and I am going to try Bookshop.org (since I can also support the StoryGraph too). 7d
kspenmoll I have had lots of luck with Thrift Books, Book Outlet, & Blackwells. I buy 1 book per month from my Indie bookstore at 20% discount. I just got lots of upcoming #dundaybuddyread books from Thrift books. I used to use Amazon but not now. (edited) 7d

TrishB @Oryx she‘s still reading it- but loving it. Was crying over something in it yesterday and going mad she had no one to talk about it with. I haven‘t read them at all 😱 and have now promised I will before the film of this one comes out. 3d
