A simple and quick picture book about Roy - the dog who digs dirt. Both our 20 month old and our 4 year old enjoyed the book. Lots to look at in the pictures and it is a cute story. Our 4 year old could practice some of his reading with this book because it is repetitive. He also had quite a few laughs throughout the book.

Our second package of books from the #library for the #summerreadingclub and the little guy is quite excited! We read Emergency Helicopters and The Show and Tell Surprise (Clifford the Big Red Dog). Emergency Helicopters is more of a first reader book where it concentrates on the kids learning some words - less about emergency helicopters themselves. Little guy loved Clifford - but who doesn't?!

We got to pick up the first book bundle today for the library summer reading club and we are very excited. We got 6 books for our 18 month old and 6 books for our 4 year old. I'm thankful that both were able to sign up since you can only pick a picture book option or a first reader option for each bundle and I feel like a 4 year old enjoys both picture and first reader books.

Santa brought our little guy these books (everything is dinosaurs with him). We have only read Tiny T. Rex and the Very Dark Dark but we absolutely loved it. An adorable book about a T. Rex and his Stegosaurus friend who are going to camp in the backyard. They need to make sure there are lights so that the Grumbles and Nombies don't get them. We are excited to read the impossible hug soon.

Last library book (from school) of the year for our little guy and he picked out a Christmas book. A cute rhyming book about a penguin who has just one wish for Santa. It also teaches you to be proud of who you are. It will be a great book to help along with reading when our little guy is a bit older.

My daughter got ahold of an old east-German primary school textbook. Now she is reading those short sentences about Grandma, Grandpa, Mum, Dad and Mimi to me.
