pickStories I suspect were originally mostly part of the last book, which had a lot less diversions than the first three. Think it got too long so the publishers took them out.
Beautiful writing - some of them are very moving.

Interlocking stories in a psuedo Near Eastern style. Winged Lions, gold and jewels, the sun and the moon meeting as lovers, etc.

Daisy feels I should include a specific warning on this book. If starting #NightsMaster, after recently reading #GatherTheDaughters, prepare for your experience to be a bit...skewed. I think that's the least spoilery way to put it. I tried to explain to her that we readers can handle it, but she sees us humans as a weak lot. Rude. Also, typical cat thinking.
