This book is recommended by my local bookstore. It‘s about an isolated community in Greece (?), where women are not allowed to be educated and the punishment is very strict. It‘s quite interesting, and most of all, very poetically written.

This book made me cry...

It tells how innocent the children are in war and how propaganda has even influenced the people.
Very sad that children had to experience such times. 😞

How cute this is! I‘m reading this book next. 🐿

I started the first book in this series (Tintenherz/Inkheart) more than ten years ago but for some reason I bailed on it. Just after Christmas I finally picked it up again and I'm now on book two. Even though the story did not (yet) manage to captivate me quite as much as I hoped it would, I'm really glad I gave it a second chance because it is so imaginative and beautifully written.
