TheBookHippie@Cuilin I love memoirs but Anna fascinates me to no end!! I just am so intrigued!(edited) 1y
eeclaytonJust caught up (busy week), having read about 6 chapters today. I like Vanity Fair, but I must say, 2 chapters of it daily are much more enjoyable than 6!1y
mcctrish@Cuilin@Bookwormjillk Rawdon is the best! How stupid is it he has to go to debtors prison? Becky spends all the money 😡1y
willaful@eeclayton I had to catch up 4 yesterday and thank goodness they were interesting chapters! I was pretty close to just throwing in the towel. 🙄1y
TheAromaofBooksI know charades were a big thing in their day, but I hate it when they show up in old books!!! I've read so many of these ridiculous charades described in agonizing details; it's like listening to someone tell you about a weird dream they had! 😂1y
dabbeI'm sensing some big thing happening with Lord Steyne and Becky. Isn't he the one who 1. gets rid of Rawdon Jr. by sending him to school? 2. gets rid of Briggs by offering her a job at his country estate?
Now only Rawdon Sr. is left, oh but wait, he's in jail, which leaves Becky completely alone. Not good for one's reputation!1y
