I enjoyed this audio book imagining what happened to the children of Marc Antony and Cleopatra after their deaths. I did find my mind wondering a bit as I listened and it‘s the beginning of a trilogy that I‘m not sure I will continue. 3.5 🌟

I enjoyed being back in the time of Henry VIII with Matthew and Jack. Matthew has been sent to York to make sure a dissenter of Henry‘s reforms stays in good health to make it to London to be tortured. Along the way other mysteries abound.

Some of you know that I lost my heart dog Dizzy a couple of years ago and have held off getting another dog for a myriad of reasons. And granted making a life altering decision while the world is a dumpster fire may not be the smartest move but an opportunity arose that i could not pass up. Meet my new wild child (name is pending). He is 6 months old and has a broken left leg that may need to be amputated. I'm fostering until I can adopt.

Aletheia! What a fun box to open. I squealed unwrapping each gift. The books are perfect. The grimoire is unbelievably cool. No pictures today but I am visiting family in central Washington. There‘s joy in being with family I only see once a year. The lovely drive up Blewett Pass with the leaves changing color. A drive yesterday up to Lake Chelan that brought back fond childhood memories. Biscuits and gravy at Blueberry Hill Farm. And bits of time to read a few pages in between all the visits.

I loved this book. Four siblings grow apart in adulthood after relying on each other due to mostly absent parents. This dysfunctional family tale is told with a light hand through each sibling‘s eyes and memories. My only quibble is I don‘t think the author stuck the landing with the last chapter, or it just didn‘t work for me 🤷🏻‍♀️ 4 🌟
