I've really enjoyed Mariko Tamaki's very grounded run on Detective Comics, which harmonizes well with James Tynion's concurrent run on Batman. We must be having a real fungal moment because this story, like The Last of Us, also features a fungus.

I'm a broken record about how wildly good Dan Mora's art is, but it's so cool to see one of my favorite artists drawing my favorite character. I love Mariko Tamaki's pacing, too.
I saw #BirdsofPrey last night and I wanted more. I decided to start with Gail Simone‘s run although I know she wrote issues in the previous run that started in 1999. DC Universe is great for my catching up on oldies. I think having watched Arrow & Justice League animated series helped ease my transition to characters I otherwise wouldn‘t know and therefore care about much. I stan Barbara Gordon/Oracle/Batgirl because #Librarian. #DCComics #Comics
Day 5 of the #Fallisbooked challenge by @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks and @OriginalCyn620
#Harvest - Gail Simone is the queen of writing creepy comic book villains, and one of her creepiest was Harvest, an urban legend come to life. Harvest was a vengeful spirit who could be summoned if someone shouted her name at the moon and she would drain the life of anything she touched, be it plants, animals, or humans. Scary stuff! 😱🎃👻

Thank you to the wonderful @Meaw_catlady for the tag!😺
Anyone who would like to share 7 favorite comic book covers, consider yourselves tagged!
Barbara Gordon (whether she is Batgirl or Oracle) is one of my favorite comic book characters ever, so I love this cover featuring her surrounded by several other DC heroines! IMO, Gail Simone and Nicola Scott were the best writer/artist team to work on this series!
Gail Simone is one of my favorite comic book writers ever!! #comicsbywomen #anditsaugust
Much much darker than the "batgirl of burnside" run. I might be reading these out of order.
#riotgrams wants #pinkcovers huh? Here ya go! Even comic lovers can find some gorgeous pink cover art in a medium that largely stayed away from pink on its covers unless it was a romance title. Still, these are some beautiful examples from the 1970's, 1980s, and today! #birdsofprey #avengersarena #alphaflight #pink
