#InDeathLongReadalong #IDLR Ch.1-5: All the world‘s a stage…we‘re thrust into the world of the theatre and the actors that live and breathe it. A man is killed in front of Eve and 3000 other people and the question is not who did the actual deed but who switched out the prop knife with a real one. The victim is much hated so there seem to be a lot of motives. ⬇️

StayCurious And who happens to hold a grudge over the victim for a past slight-Nadine Furst - she was in the wrong place at the wrong time and the real killer may use that to his advantage. This one is set to become dramatic, folks. 6d

Eve battles a terrifying enemy in this addition to the In Death series. Lots of violence, and Eve is once again wrestling with her emotions surrounding her personal life while also living through flashbacks of her horrific past. Another great one! #InDeathLongReadalong

#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Ch.16-22/Review - wow the last few chapters of this book whirled by as it all came crashing together. I knew the two cases had to be linked somehow - did everyone click on to the evil Mrs.Branson? What a conniving psycho! Poor Zeke. I wonder if he‘ll recover from this. And will Peabody give McNabb a chance in the romance department? I‘m eager to read more.

StayCurious I enjoyed this instalment- it was heavy at times (very high body count and sad that we lost Malloy) but also showed how smart Eve is to have put it all together. She really showed her skills this time. We‘ll be reading Witness in Death next, but I think because of the busy holiday season, we‘ll take a break and resume in January. We really hope you‘ll continue with us in our In Death journey! See you soon! 1mo

#InDeathLongReadalong - wow so much happening in this book: Things are🔥up btw Peabody & McNab (everyone saw this coming); Eve has a nightmare about her mother for the first time (sad); a huge explosion results in mass casualties (very sad); and Peabody‘s brother gets into a bind. Okay a major bind - honestly he and Clarissa could be in serious trouble now. Im looking forward to the conclusion of this one. Roberts has certainly upped the stakes!

#InDeathLongReadalong #IDLR Ch.6-10: things are getting more serious as a group calling themselves Cassandra blows up one of Roarke‘s buildings and targets another. They see Eve as their adversary and she has ties to the highest “capitalist” of them all. Eve is trying to stop another bombing disaster like one that happened earlier in the century. ⬇️

StayCurious She‘s distracted from the Branson murder. But we find out that the brother of the victim is abusing his wife. Who happens to be the object of affection for Peabody‘s brother Zeke. What a complicated situation! 2mo

#InDeathLongReadalong #IDLR Ch.1-5: this one has an interesting start where Eve is called to a case where a man is dead and his lover/killer is awaiting the cops and ready to confess. At first we think this will be open and shut but it becomes more complex and there is the question of justice being served and what is the true motive. ⬇️

StayCurious Also, there is another case that Eve is reluctant to get involved in but finds herself being sucked in: one of her weasels reports that his friend was killed after making bombs for someone. This is probably linked to the creepy prologue. We also get to meet Peabody‘s adorable brother. It‘s great to see her in family mode. But is he linked to Eve‘s case? (edited) 2mo

TheAromaofBooks @LiseWorks - It's so fun to see another facet of Peabody. I really enjoy how much she loves her family, even though she's chosen to take a path very different from theirs. But if something happens to her brother I'm going to be super upset!! 2mo

#InDeathLongReadalong #IDLR we‘re on to the 9th book in the series and this one sounds explosive! As with the last book there are 22 chapters. We‘ll start out with our usual 5 chapters a week, then finish with 7 chapters for the last week. We‘ll check in this month on Nov 10,17,24 and Dec 1, the next few Sundays.
