Our series continues. A tough couple of chapters when Eve is forced to face her past. A closer look at Peabody and family. More danger for Roarke. Great book and addition to series. #IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book 14 Ch.16-end and review: these last chapters chasing Julianna were a fast paced ride with Eve so close but still a step behind. Julianna is cunning and clever and lucky as well. But she can‘t resist going after what is most important to Eve: Roarke. In this at least Eve is prepared and the two foes finally get their show off and Eve finally gets Julianna back in a cage where she belongs. I liked this instalment ⬇️
#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book 14 Ch.11-15: Eve returns to Dallas, where her life really began, and faces the traumas of her past. Some very difficult memories surface but Roarke is with her to help her through. I really felt for both of them here. Eve has made so much progress in the past year and having Roarke as support makes all the difference. ⬇️
#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book 14 Ch.6-10: Ooh, poor Eve she has to return to Dallas. That won‘t be easy. I‘m glad she has the support of Mira and Roarke. And that she acknowledges she can‘t do it on her own. I was charmed by Mira‘s husband. And I feel bad for Peabody‘s father - since he was only trying to help. I wonder if Eve provoking Julianna is a good idea though. The lady killer‘s off kilter already. No need to poke the bear…is there?
#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book 14 Ch.1-5: a lot happened in our first 5 chapters. Eve trusts Peabody with her first case (very exciting); Eve, Roarke and McNab meet Peabody‘s bewitching parents; and a killer from Eve‘s past who was just released from prison makes her return to killing by poisoning a man at his birthday party. It‘s interesting that we once again know who the killer is. But do we know her motives for killing or is she just crazy?
Come join us for our next adventure with Eve, Roarke, and the gang. We read 5 chapters per week. Our first check-in is July 5th. #IDLR @StayCurious @LitsyEvents
Repost for @StayCurious
#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book 14 The next book in our series takes us to a killer from Eve‘s past. I‘m interested to see if we‘ll get any flashbacks of her as a rookie. Looking forward to catching up with all of our friends! Please let me know if you want to be added or removed from our main tag list.

Love the world building and character development in this series.

These have been on my shelves for a long time. They both were on my 2023 #Roll100 list and have rolled over to my 2024 list. It‘s definitely time for them to be on my #ReadOrDonate list.
My Third finish for #SuperSeptember
What can I say about this series that hasn‘t been said. The evolving relationship between Eve and Roarke is wonderful. This was a tough emotionally because Eve remembered more of her time in Dallas prior to the death of her father (I agree with Roarke by the way… her father got off easy). So good, I started the next one right away.
Eve Dallas revisits the past when a serial killer from her early cases is released. Julie Dockport has a grudge to settle with Dallas for sending her to prison in the first place.
A solid 4 star read. There are some laugh-out-loud moments between Dallas & Peabody. 4🌟
I enjoy this series a lot overall but it gets really repetitive. Someone has a personal vendetta against Eve and tries to get to her through Roarke. Roarke owns most of the city, resists Eve's attempts to protect him, and inserts himself into the investigation. They argue about it, make up, and go catch the bad guy. 🤷🏽♀️

I‘m not able to concentrate on any one book, so I‘m bouncing between these three right now. Hoping one of them sinks its claws in.
My hold came in! I have been waiting for almost 2 months. This is the 5th book I'm currently reading but meh, what's another one🤷 #indeath
