EadieB This turned out to be a really interesting book after a bit of a slow start. The twists and turns about midway forced me to read without putting the book down until the cliffhanger of a finish. I am now looking forward to Blood On The Shore, the 3rd book in The Anglesey Series. If you like a thrilling mystery, then you would love this book. 1y

#Rocktober A deep dive into Jim Jones's life, background, & formation of The Peoples Temple. At times maybe a bit too deep--the middle dragged on, but even knowing how it ends in Jonestown, the last third had me on the edge as the tension built. 😱 I remember all the the news accounts at the time but I learned a lot more about Jones. The audiobook narration by George Newbern was good. So many people looking for a better life ended up #InTooDeep

DebinHawaii @Leftcoastzen @BarbaraBB @tpixie It is very interesting but especially the end is tough as you can imagine, as the Jonestown tragedy occurs. This is my third cult-centered book lately, 1 fiction, 2 NF & as fascinating as I find the subject I think I need a bit of a break from it. 😬 7y

My #currentlisten fits the #InTooDeep prompt pretty well, I'd say.

Welp, this book is extremely horrifying. As a dad of little ones, I get particularly squirmy with all the baby stuff. And there is a LOT of turbo-graphic harm to a baby. Plus child abduction. This is why I only do horror books one month a year. #Rocktober

Watch as John Milton escapes and hides in plain sight in London. Definitely recommend this series, read the first three and enjoyed them all, and eager to move on with the series. #rocktober
