Through extensive research, interviews, and letters, Shields and Salerno plummet deep into Salinger‘s life, analyzing his works, and speculating on posthumous publication. Like many artists, he was an incredibly flawed human. This absolutely consumed me.

I love finding stuff in used books. I bought this years ago and finally decided to crack it open. I sure hope things worked out for Adrian and Michael, but I curse whichever one of them dog-eared the shit out of this book. 😂 And at the bottom of the pages. First time I‘ve seen that. Anyway …. enjoying the read so far!
