It was a really great story. I was disappointed with the ending, but only because it didn‘t tie everything up perfectly. It‘s a very well-written and likely ending. There were a few characters I was left wondering about.
Awesome book. I loved the pacing and short chapters, as it was easy to read a few in between a busy day. I definitely want to check out some more of Grisham‘s work
Second read of 2024 and I finished it in three days. This was a Christmas gift from my mom and I couldn't put it down. #booktwoof2024
Vintage Grisham which had all the things I absolutely love about his book. Could only have been improved with a slightly more robust edit. I‘m ready for the sequel now.
Starting reading and then realized I had already read it. 😃
I thought this was really good, a unique scenario. It got especially creepy once we started “following” from the judge‘s point of view about the middle of the book, but that, of course, ramped up the suspense a bit.
I actually finished this Tuesday night late 😊
Grisham takes us back to where it all began, with Sycamore Row. A Time To Kill introduced us to Ford County Mississippi, Jake Brigance, Carla Brigance, Lucien Willbanks, Harry Rex and Sheriff Ozzie. Three years later, Jake is still waiting on the insurance to pay for the loss of his house, when he is dragged into another major case. ⬇️
