I don't know whether to thank or blame @jessica for telling me about the #bookoutlet sale last week...I am now $160 poorer, but I am 40 books richer, so I think it was an incredibly good bargain. How can I squeeze these in without my husband noticing just how many books I bought...? It was *my* money, but still, he's a non-reader, so to him 5 books seems excessive. 🙄🙄 #iblamelitsy #blameitonlitsy #bookhaul
JustTrish Oh my 😍.That's a great haul! 8y
GlitteryOtters @JustTrish I can't believe the average cost per book was only $4, including shipping. How great was that?! This is, basically, my Christmas present to myself. 8y
JustTrish Wow. It would have been a crime to leave them! 8y

Soubhiville Oh my! I'm jealous! 8y
haanim Well done! 👏🏽🎉 8y
jessberk13 I have the biggest smile on my face right now! #SORRYNOTSORRY 📚😍❤️ 8y
GlitteryOtters @Jessica seriously, thank you again. I have already finished one book...now I just have 39 more to go (well, 37, plus 2 cookbooks to cook my way through!) 8y
GlitteryOtters @haanim thank you!! 8y
GlitteryOtters @Soubhiville I still can't believe I lucked out to this extent...how did I get so lucky to find SO MANY of the books on my TBR list at such really good prices?! 8y
GlitteryOtters @WoodyWoodson that is exactly what my face looked like when I opened the box! 8y
GlitteryOtters @britt_brooke I think it is my most impressive haul of the decade...last time I managed to get such a great haul I was 1) working at a bookstore 2) it was the employee annual 40% off day and 3) I was really good friends with the remainders clerk & she gave me first crack at stashing away all the best books in advance of the sale (I got a Riverside Shakespeare for $12! Complete works of Shakespeare hardcover for $12?! 😱) 8y
The Riverside Shakespeare
GlitteryOtters @LeahBergen I only wish I could have your level of self restraint! But, in my defense, I *was* sick for nearly a week of my vacation & didn't do much during that time, so I came home from the vacation a full $200 richer than I had expected because I was too sick to do anything fun...so it's like I transferred the travel money over to my book budget instead! 😂 #justifyingmypurchases 8y
GlitteryOtters @rubyslippersreads one of my dogs would agree with you...she kept licking the cookbooks and drooled on the Wonder Woman one 😂 8y
GlitteryOtters @LauraBrook I feel SO lucky that so many of the books on my TBR list were available at such good prices! 8y
GlitteryOtters @gibblr how do you get your husband to tolerate the books?! Mine grew up in a rural area around really *smart* people who were nurses and doctors and such, but literally NO ONE in his family is a reader and none of his friends are readers, either. I am the odd one out! 😂 8y
CherylDeFranceschi Excellent haul! Good luck with hiding a stash that size! 🙄 8y
GlitteryOtters @CherylDeFranceschi so far so good...6 of the new books are out and about and the rest are hidden behind my Sarah Dessen & Monica Dickens books on the shelf. 😂 I plan to slowly bring them out, read them, and work them into the rotation. If he asks if a book is new, I will be truthful, but as our house has over 3000 books & I reread frequently, I doubt he'll ask. 😉 8y
CherylDeFranceschi Excellent plan! 8y
Dragon Nice haul and clever plan to incorporate it into your current collection 😎 8y
GlitteryOtters @dragon thanks! It's working so far...fingers crossed that it continues to work...😂 8y
BookishMarginalia You go, girl! Non-readers just don't understand 😎 8y
GlitteryOtters @BookishMarginalia EXACTLY. Although, I still don't understand...how can anyone be a non-reader when there are so many good books all over the place?? 😂 8y
BookishMarginalia It does boggle the mind, doesn't it?!? 8y
melbeautyandbooks Wow! Great haul! My husband reads maybe 1 or 2 books a year. He understands my NEED to read, even though he doesn't share my need. Although 95% of my reading is done via ebooks or audiobooks so I don't have physical books around. 8y
