Wowowowow WOW. I started this YESTERDAY and wasn‘t able to put it down until today. A gripping tale of Leonard Cohen. His time in Israel, the accepting of his role in life. The song “Lover, Lover, Lover”. All of it just so incredible and compelling. 8/10.
I know this is a weird question, but does anybody have any song recantations for the spooky season??#halloween
My recommendation is the Beetlejuice the Musical soundtrack!!
My score is 73/100. As with the previous surveys, some songs are very familiar, and others I‘ve never even heard of the artist. Here‘s the link if you want to take the survey https://bit.ly/46wY0GA
I think I‘m contractually obligated to select as number one a song that has my name as the title so …
1. Suzanne
And also…
2. The Edge of Seventeen
3. Suite Judy Blue Eyes

Well, my friends are gone and my hair is grey
I ache in the places where I used to play
And I'm crazy for love but I'm not coming on
I'm just paying my rent every day in the Tower of Song
I said to Hank Williams, how lonely does it get?
Hank Williams hasn't answered yet
But I hear him coughing all night long
Oh, a hundred floors above me in the Tower of Song
I was born like this, I had no choice
I‘m really not vibing with the art style here, and for someone who had such a interesting life both in his life choices and in his inner life, I‘m finding this account of him desperately dry. I actually got way more out of the Netflix documentary I saw on Hallelujah last year. Maybe I‘ll stumble onto a biography I do vibe with at some point, I know there are more out there…
