All human life seemed to be out there. And it was not a pretty sight.
Усі людські пороки, здавалося, перебували там. І це не було приємне видовище.
I‘m ten seasons into the Midsomer Murders TV show, so I thought I would read the first book in the series the show is based on. I enjoyed this. It‘s definitely darker than the show, but I enjoyed some of the fleshing out. I was surprised that Sargent Troy is a bit of a prick. I enjoyed his character on the show.

The continuing series starring Inspector Barnaby and his sidekick Troy. Not my favorite, too much setting up of the murder , but worth reading to move on to next book.

This really did not age well. I disliked Sgt. Troy and found the main storyline rather sensational and weird. It was a meandering sort of story and by the end I really didn‘t care whodunnit. The cat that Barnaby and his wife were cat-sitting was honestly the best part of the whole book for me.
This is my cozy fall read for September I loved the tv series and thought that I would check out the book series
This final in the Midsomer Murders series is the longest and the most slow burning, character developing novel. When a death occurs, it looks like a simple accident. And yet…
I‘m so glad I found this series on audio! #BBRC #YeahBaby #ADevilInTheDetails
This edition to the Midsomer Murders series starts off with a bang and does not stop. Barnaby and Troy are as snarky as ever. John Hopkins‘s narration is so engaging to me. I blew through this one and am anxiously awaiting the audio release on Audible next month.
