Sometimes baking makes me nervous. I‘m not sure why. I‘m much better at regular cooking. But let me tell you, this sweet potato cornbread from The Savory Baker was easy and my husband LOVED it. My first time making it! The recipe called for baking in a cast iron pan, but I wanted to make muffins instead. I also made some honey-cayenne butter to spread on them and oh my goodness *chef‘s kiss*

Last night‘s dinner! #mtcookbook I love this cookbook. I use it sometimes when I need a fun finger food type dish to take to a gathering or when I want to make something quick and easy. This is by the makers of those “quick hands” videos on social media. (I call them quick hands because I have to keep pausing and rewinding to catch all the ingredients, oven temp, bake times, etc.) Anyway, this was a delicious and easy meal to make after work.

mabell @TheBookHippie I haven‘t heard of that one! We had a few on our shelves, but this one was the winner! Tried and true recipes, almost all of them loved by the little eater! (She wasn‘t into bananas for quite a while 🤷‍♀️) 3d

mabell @Gissy She‘s loved it! As you can tell 😂 Some of her favorites were mango and peas and red lentil, carrot, and coconut milk 😄 Now she is very into ANY food she can pick up with her fingers 3d

This is definitely my favorite sourdough cookbook. I mixed up the dough for these overnight baguette twists yesterday afternoon, shaped them early this morning, and baked them before leaving for church. The recipe is simple and delicious!

Daisey @Deblovestoread There is a lot of conflicting info, but this book is less complicated than many. I‘ve had my sourdough for 30 years now and am still learning different methods. The main thing I like to remember is that it has been used for hundreds of years. It doesn‘t always work perfectly, but it also doesn‘t have to be that complicated. 6d

mabell Yes! That must be the same! They came out with 10 variations last year, and one was Crumb Lovers - with double the crumb! And we thought the original had too much 😂 A really yummy recipe! I think I‘ll try it again next weekend! 7d

Anyone else freely write notes in your cookbooks? I do; on this page I halved the carrots & celery and doubled the tortellini. Kids enjoyed the soup despite the veggies. 🥕🥬

Sauces are one of my favorite things to make, and I couldn‘t resist a copy of this for use in my kitchen. The book is smaller than my other cookbooks-I love the size! The recipes in here are easy and accessible, the pictures are bright and beautiful, and I love the suggestions on what foods to pair the sauces with: chicken, steak, tacos, dessert, etc. My favorites so far are the Romesco and Mojo Rojo sauces, which are red pepper-based. #mtcookbook
