American Pop: A Novel | Snowden Wright
Bailedbailed

Okay. This bail is 100% on me. I really wanted this to be a book version of the History Channel‘s “Food that Built America” show. This is not like that. Family drama, oh yes. Characters that are difficult to like? You betcha. I‘m glad I found my copy at Savers for $3.99 because that‘s exactly where it‘s going back to. #HailtheBail

(Book 4 of 2025) Just like the other two books in the series Yarros has a way of keeping you engaged. Sometimes in series one or more books can fall flat or miss the mark but not this one. I love how the questions I had in the previous books get answered but LADY don't leave me with more questions! I will say the cliffhanger on this one left me messed up for a few weeks.

5feet.of.fury I liked that one! 12mo
BoleyBooks @5feet.of.fury -I went audio and perhaps was a slight bit turned off by the voice actor. My eyes are going bad. Traditional reading is best for those of us with sensory problems, but any book experience…tons better than a no book existence. 😊 12mo
5feet.of.fury Sorry to hear about your eyes, that must be frustrating. A bad narrator can certainly tank an audiobook experience! 12mo

I loved this book! It took me on a roller coaster of emotions. A perfect read for February, since much of the action takes place on Valentine‘s Day. I‘m so glad I chose this as my February #ReadOrDonate selection!

MatchlessMarie Awesome! 🥰💙 14mo
TheAromaofBooks I've enjoyed a couple of O'Leary's other books, but have been hesitant to pick this one up since it sounds like the main plot involves cheating. Did you feel like that aspect was handled well? 14mo

julieclair @TheAromaofBooks That was part of my roller coaster of emotions. I think you‘ll find it was handled appropriately. One tip: if you‘re tempted to bail… don‘t. 😘 (edited) 14mo
TheAromaofBooks haha I will keep it on the TBR then 😂 14mo
bookandbedandtea @TheAromaofBooks This is my favorite of O'Leary's books. As you read, whatever it is you think is happening isn't what's happening! As @julieclair says, if you start reading, don't stop. 14mo
TheAromaofBooks @bookandbedandtea - Thank you for the encouragement!! 😁 14mo

Wow! Definitely give this a chance. In the beginning I kept thinking this was out of character for O‘Leary. Such a likable character doing such unlikable things. But, O‘Leary weaves a wonderful (albeit sad) story and ultimately we get our HEA.
This is my one of my February #Roll100 rolled books.

This novel opens with 3 women, all stood up by the same man. Told from their perspectives in dedicated chapters, this is a story of love, friendship, self love, loss and personal growth. I almost gave up on this because it dabbled in infidelity. If you find yourself in that place, just stick it out and trust the author to tell the story and bring it to a satisfying conclusion. It‘s creative and has more depth than the cover alludes. ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 ❤️📚
