Anyone else subscribe to Nocturnal Readers Box? Have you received your June box yet? Kinda bummed about how far behind they are. I finally received my shipping notification for June but tracking info says it has not shipped yet. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I am extremely sympathetic to what they have been going through but I hope they get caught up soon. It‘s such an amazing subscription box!

vivastory I don't subscribe anymore. I understand they're only a few people running it & life can interrupt business, but it seems like every couple of months there was something causing a massive delay. 6y

DeeLew @vivastory I agree. They really need to hire help or find a way to be more organized. I‘ve already been charged for June, July, and August and haven‘t even gotten the June box. If they don‘t get caught up by mid-August I‘ll probably have to cancel. 😔 6y

parasolofdoom I just got a somewhat petulant email that all June boxes are indeed out. I'm more upset with the sporadic communication than late timeline tbh. People just wanted to know if everything has been sent and wee upset no clear answer was made for a week. 6y

DeeLew @parasolofdoom I‘m a little irritated at that email. They need someone to handle their communication and customer service. I don‘t know why they are angry. Many of us have said nothing despite being charged for 3 boxes that we haven‘t received. It has been over a week since I got the email claiming that the June box was sent and the tracking # is useless. 😬 6y

parasolofdoom @DeeLew I am too and have been pretty annoyed at the way they have responded to other concerned customers on social media. It's not really asking too much just to want to know where they are in shipping out a product paid for well over 2 months ago. 6y

parasolofdoom @DeeLew actually just the fact that I've had to prowl FB and Instagram for any idea irritated me. Just a line or so that 1/2 the boxes are with the carrier, all boxes are out, etc in email would have been loads better than radio silence. 6y

parasolofdoom @DeeLew I cancelled right after the charge for June because I thought the late shipping in previous months was getting ridiculous. I'm trying out a new box that has a horror option. I'm guessing NRB boxes will show up early August based on how long my shipping always took even with expedited. 6y

DeeLew @parasolofdoom Yep. A person actually created a group on Facebook called NRB Updates for those of us who are still waiting. We‘ve been able to vent there. I guess I‘ll write it off and hope that we actually get our July box. I‘m going to cancel before they charge me for September. It‘s crazy that they keep charging. 6y

parasolofdoom *problem I've ever had was PageHabit forgetting to apply coupon codes and they credited everyone 10% off next box and at the time, THAT was the most annoying box problem I had come across 6y

I had to revisit this one after receiving this amazing print in my #nocturnalreadersbox. It's by Eric Nyquist and I can't wait to hang it. The Thing is one of my absolute favorite movies and the original story is also super creepy, although this may be one of the few instances where I like the movie a little bit more.

I may be stuck working and missing the LA Festival of Books, but at least I got #bookmail! Excited for this one. It was part of my #nocturnalreadersbox which also included my FOURTH copy of Slade House. It‘s a good book, but one copy is enough.

parasolofdoom Ah I wish I had kept my subscription for Slade House! I cancel and renew nrb constantly sbd seriously always miss books I actually want and get the months that have sequels (which I hate in book boxes 😒). 6y

Quite impressed with this month's #nocturnalreadersbox. Both books sound great, the shirt is cool...love the print from The Troop. The glass is awesome, and the Mongrells bandana makes me even more excited that it's my next read. Good job, guys!

Had a busy morning, so I got a late start on my #24in48, I'm still going to try for it. I'm starting off with a book I got in the #nocturnalreadersbox. I'm only a couple stories in, but I'm really enjoying it so far. I feel like I really don't read enough short stories so my goal this year is to read a bunch.

Here‘s my Dec 2017 #NocturnalReadersBox loot!

This month‘s books are Tales from the Talking Board (I got a signed edition!) & Vermilion.

I ❤️ this Jaws mug! It‘s another design from Exhumed Visions.

And I‘m digging the Exorcist inspired planchette pin. We also got Overlook Hotel carpet washi tape, a Bentley Little can cooler, and NOS4A2 t-shirt. The art print is a scene from Bird Box by Ian Permana. I think this might be my favorite box so far!

Well, my box sat with DHL for 13 days before it was handed to the USPS and then it took another 5 days to get to me - so let‘s just say I went a little crazy waiting for it. Here‘s my descent into madness as told through Jack Nicholson‘s portrayal of Jack Torrance (bottom left to upper right):

1. Day 1: Yay! My NRB box shipped!
2. Day 3: It hasn‘t moved. Why hasn‘t it mooovvvveeed...
3. Day 6: REALLY?!
4. Day 10: Is it lost? Did someone steal it? Who would do that?! Maybe it was those creepy twins who hang out down the hall.
5. Day 13: I‘ll drive there and get it! Totally makes sense to cross several state lines to get this!
6. Day 15: Just the sound of my mouse clicking every 30 seconds, refreshing the tracking code. 6y

BekahB 7. Day 18: Hi my friendly neighborhood mail delivery person! I believe that box is for me! Oh don‘t worry about the door. I think my renter‘s insurance will cover it. And don‘t mind the axe; it‘s just for opening the box. Why are you running away?!
