The Canterville Ghost | Oscar Wilde

I've just started reading this on @SerialReader and it's hysterical! A practical American family moves into a haunted British house (complete with foreboding British housekeeper) and simply refuses to be haunted by the ghost. A great pick for a #notscary #allhallowsread !

Creepy, maybe. Scary, no. This book hits many emotions and has a few good twists. I liked Melanie and Miss Justineau. But some parts felt predictable if you've read or watched a few dystopian, supernatural, or creepy books and movies. Giving it 🎃🎃🎃 for #allhallowsread. #notscary

"The witch tapped the broomstick and whoosh! they were gone. Over the moors and the mountains they flew."

When my friends daughter was little, she used to always want me to read a story with her. This was one of her favourites. A kind witch and her cat on a broomstick ride, gaining more and more passengers as they go along.

It's a sweet and #notscary Halloween read, with lovely rhymes. Perfect for #allhallowsread

(Now she reads to me ?)
