dabbeAt least in Ch. 1, it's hard to separate Agnes from Ann. It does seem to be rather autobiographical so far, with the exception of having the mother still alive and a strong presence for Agnes. This is setting up the novel to be a classic bildungsroman, where we will witness Agnes's formative years and her spiritual education.13mo
